That's just typical of people consumed by greed. Just when things are looking up for the planet and our wallets.......

Nice one guys, but the whole girlfriend as a second driver wont work with me as she has a nasty DR10, just been on go-compare, and already pulled a quote cheaper than what I'm paying for the valver, so confident I can afford the insurance ( providing there are no endorsements from now till then) I'll have one next year. Gives me some time to tidy the valver up a bit and get it ready for sale.

Fair point, I'll try the quote route..

I have a 2L valver which I love to drive, thing is I want a VR  and can't justify having both :nono: , I tried talking the girlfriend into owning a corrado but she likes her little civic 1.3 valver . Now I can't afford to get one till sometime around April-May but I'm wondering if I can afford the insurance. So I guess my question is this - Those of you that have made the jump to a VR, have you had a ridiculous jump in your insurance? And for those of you that have one is your current insurance high?

Has to be GTX every time

Hmmmmm don't see why not, we pay their wages, may as well tell them how to do their job. Yes we should all do that!

Another for the oil temp and on occassion the mpg but not often, got the bank statments for that one.

That's a fair point but up here in the highlands (inverness) there seems to be council vans everywhere, bin men are out every day on EVERY road, why they aren't forwarding pot-hole info back to the council roads dept. is shocking to say the least. We have pavement sweepers, kerbside recycling, and all other department vans and trucks using the same bloody bad road surfaces we all pay good money for the privilage to use. Sure i understand that the roads after some really bad icey conditions are a bit worse for wear but come on, it's not the 1st bad winter we've had to deal with.

Well after some searching around I found the fault to be something behind the fuse box so I'm back to my happier self.......
-
I share your rage I have a similar prob with my 2L valver, got up this morning to go to work and the bloody fuel pump isn't kicking in :bad-words: :censored: but the fuse is ok as I have ruled that one out, I'm wondering if anyone may have an idea to what my prob could be, might just be that the fuel pump has givin up, last run on saturday as well, but me not havin any clue about cars other than how to drive them doesn't help, I have use of the other halves car so isn't too much of an issue, just frustrating as i love driving my C. If it turns out I need to get a new pump can anyone suggest a good place to order from Cheers Guys.......

Non Daily Corrado Owners- How often do you drive yours ?
Big'G' replied to VWVW's topic in General Car Chat
I've been using mine as a daily for the last 6-7months, but the other half has just bought a civic 1.3 16v, so we'll be using that mon-fri and using the Rado at the weekends. -
Must have read it wrong mate sorry, thought that you had done that to your car....OOOOPS!

with a 4-branch and a de-cat as well the 2lt will be very quick. When I had my car on the rollers it had 146 bhp and 140lbft which is 10bhp more than standard and all I had done was remove the air box snorkel, removed a exhuast silencer and replaced the back box. sinse then its had the KR cam and all the adjustments done and feels quicker Oh and its for sale too  Ok my cat has had the Lambda sensor put into it, and wondered if it's meant to be there or somewhere else, what did you do with yours when you DE-CATed your 2L and did you run a straight through exhaust from the manifold to the back box ? I need to do this or similar to mine. How did it effect the emissions?
