I'm after an approx. figure for my 1991 corrado, dragon green, was a G60 now a 20vt (BAM) 285bhp, 320lb-ft torque, DTA management, 16" AZEV A's, custom intercooler, stainless exhaust, rebuilt G60 box, not sure what suspension, zimmerman front discs, braided brake lines, front seats re-trimmed in biscuit?(tan) leather - any ideas?

Feel for you, it gets me mad :mad2:
-
Mine came with one already fitted, nice sound without being too loud and never had any problems.
-
Gutted for you, hope the payout was good. If I was you i'd look for a shell and transfer everything. The 225 engines have been advertised for around £1,400 recently, sorry can't help with all the other gear although i wouldn't mind that box to go with my 1.8t.

Well played. -
Sorry to hear this, but sounds like it could have been worse, good luck in getting it all sorted.

Sorry no address but t.01254 831119. Lyndon will probably answer, he owns it.

Well he's a veedub specialist and has been around for a while so he shouldn't have any probs. If your heading from the M61 junction (8) away from chorley to blackburn go past the red cat pub then the petrol station/garage on your left you'll see the speed camera on the opposite side of the road and from memory it's the next left, there is a signpost for Wheelton i think :? You'll know you've turned the right way when you hit the cobbles, turn right after the cobbles, then right at the front of the unit and follow around you'll see a collection of veedubs outside. Sorry for crap directions but it is in the middle of nowhere.

You thought about taking it to Dubhaus in Wheelton, quite close to you and the labour must be lower than Dubsports.
-
Let us know when you post up my spin, from memory there was a bmw up me chuff at the time, thanks for spinning in front of me Kebabman just to make me feel at home , glad to see the damage was minimal.
-
Yeah it can be done on its own, lots of jiggery pokery but i've seen it done (with the use of a ramp).
-
What a fantastic spec. 8) Will we see this car at next years shows?
-
Cool, i'll remember that if the 20vt does the same this winter.
-
Had this problem last year with my G60, the black plastic cage that sits over the fan intake wasn't blocked with anything but the seal aroung the base had given up, removed it as jim says then resealed it with silicone - no more leaks, iirc loads of others had the same problem last winter and there should be a few other threads with pics. ps carpet stays wet for ages and the soundproofing rots making the car smell :pukeright:

If the Brentacre quote is no good try direct line, they charge on the number of mods (limited to 6) and worked out about £550.00 cheaper than anyone else when i got my 20VT. But they are muppets and dont understand the first thing about mods.

The trimmer i spoke to and the ones i have seen recovered are only part leather.

Stop chasing R32's then :)

Can't be certain who i spoke to but Dave rings a bell, to be fair though he did give the standard line of "things could change from now until renewal" the quote for £3,200 is underwritten by Highway who are normally very good, but according to HIC they have now got to quote screen rate for certain areas (they did call me back re the rnwl-took them 24 hours though  ) they were also supposed to be phoning me back today to see if they could compete with the other quotes i've had, i'm not gonna miss their quality customer service  Apologies for the thread hijack, will have it sorted by later this week (off to Majorca on Friday :D 8) ) and post on here in case its any help for the extra bhp/engine swap people.
-
I recently had mine repaired at a local vw specialist, he cut the old one out and replaced with a new tray which i think he said was from a mk2 Golf.
-
Renewal through from herts ins today - £3,279.26p just a tad over the £700ish they said it would be when i checked how much the 20vt would be 3 months ago.

Cheers  , good luck sorting the clutch.

Autotrader is the best place to sell stuff in the northwest, bite the bullet and stick it in for 2 weeks for £45ish iirc sold most of my previous cars and bikes through it, loot is also worth a try but people who read it dont want to pay owt for stuff. Good luck.
