Slightly of topic but when i posted that topic a few days ago about interesting you tube channels , if you follow the links till you find the koensigg videos theres some amazing stuff on how they 3d print parts , all sorts of complex parts and i think they are on the verge of printing in carbon fibre , what i was most impressed with is the fact that the turbos on the new koensiggs are ... I **** you not ..... Printed on one of these machines in titanium !! Thought id share that

Yea im not going as far as to take the doors off , bonnet will come off and wings are off , not entirely sure about wings tbh bud but wile mine are off there getting dollied flat and chemical metal sealed shut so no water can get in there , also a good time to clean the chassis legs and inner wings
-
Are they not taking the wings of to spray them ? Just a question as mine is stripped for paint as we speak aswell and i took wings off

Am I imagining a difference in performance? - Fuel related
sexybourbon replied to DPS's topic in General Car Chat
As for "performance" fuels, you'll not notice the difference on a standard car, so imho it's a complete myth generated by clever marketing people to get your cash. I'm not entirely sure I agree with that , although not arguing about it I'd say it's pointless on a smaller car ... Let's say my 1.2 clio as it's just plain and simple not a fast car , but I'd say the corrado with a big 2.9 lump it does make a slight difference ! Mine runs a bit smoother and seems to pick up that bit better on acceleration and compared it in a turbo car I'd say it makes a big difference other wise people like Vince at stealth wouldn't push all people who turbo vr's and stuff to run it And an other point that race cars wouldn't use higher octane race designed fuel if it didn't work , they would just use 95 Ron like everyone else -
Great work mate glad you got it sorted it's looking good

Might have a punt at this , iv been thinking about doing a stripped out track car project for a while :)
-
Ill look at them both later ,feenix is that channel a kind of extension to idrive then ?? I drive seem to have done alot about super cars and stuff but also have a load of episodes based only on big muscle power , theres an episode with an old 1950s (i think) flat bed truck with big twin wheels on the back that looks amazing and it has a massive turbo diesel in it , i enjoyed that one

Heres one of a full on custom cyclone truck

Iv been watching a station on you tube lately called IDRIVE and it makes for a good watch Its basically one off cars and there owners that at interviewed and driven by some american guy , its really well filmed aswell with lots of nice shots and there not shy of giving the cars some beans Theres everything from old bmw 325 turbos and crx's to big muscle cars and rat rods and some of the enginering that goes in to alot of the cars is fantastic Well worth a watch if you like cars and modded stuff Anyone else watch any other channels on you tube like this kind of stuff could you post it up or a link so we can have a watch

That sounds good , i took a look earlier but couldnt realy find out similar , maybe i was looking in the wrong places though :/ Would be good to get some new stuff made without the incredible mark up

VW Motorsport VR6 Inlet Manifold - No Longer Available
sexybourbon replied to peterdinosaur's topic in Parts for Sale
What cams was you running chazrad ? -
I always notice a slight rise in price this time of year , people visit a few shows see a few old vw's they like and go home and start searching the internet for a new purchase and I'm sure people selling up know this aswell and up the price slightly , it's a bit like selling a soft top in summer compared to winter

Primed Carbon Bonnet :-) and other Carbon Panels :-)
sexybourbon replied to Andrew_LWSDesign's topic in Exterior
Wings in fiberglass would be a winner and surely not complex to make compared to say a tail gate or bonnet
