Try sky insurance , i went with them after adrian flux kept my premium the same price and wouldnt budge on price , daft thing is when i rang them to cancel the renewal they then said they could beat my new quote off sky by 40 quid so at this point adrain flux was going to insure me a hundred quid cheaper than what they quoted for my renewal , told them they was messing me about and left flux for sky Iv just turned twenty five aswell with six years no claims and all mods declared , insurance is a joke though there all theiving *******os

Im in hull and theres a few of us round here Id be willing to travell a bit to meet in the middle every other month or so , and it might bring a few more cars together , id say it would be just over an hour each way to the middle

As above i have four tyres for sale all pretty much brand new the tread depth is very deep , they came of the speedlines iv just sold The sizes are 205 , 55 , 16 Maybe not for a corrado but if anyone runs a daily with sizes then grab a bargain 100 takes them i think 25 a tyre is reasonable for a pretty much new tyre Located in hull but will be in cheltnam next week for four days Cheers Matt

Cheers for the replys , im going to see it on saturday to have a look at it but as jim says its maybe to buy and to tidy up and sell on as i cant see me insuring this and my vr aswell and i really do love the vr , thing is my mechanic is a friend aswell and he has only offered me it as he knows ill spend the time doing it up instead of just breakin it up Id love to own a mk2 but id hate to make the mistake if i didnt like it Mr bacon i think iv probs messed up there and it probably does run 288's im going to get a full spec on it when i see it so i can work out what it would be worth with some tlc The car was also magazine featured back in its time and i could be wrong but i think it was when the 20v was a much rarer conversion

I have a bit of a dilemma , im not asking for someone to tell me what to do but more along the lines of am i being daft if i decide to go with it So the story is my mechanic who used to build the turbo minis at z cars built a mk 2 golf maybe 8 years ago and i always loved it and always asked if he would sell it but he never would . Its running a 210 bhp 20v turbo , 5x100 conversion , g60 brakes and some nice polished audi winters and weitecs and the i sides got a mint ( i think ) rainbow interior Its been stood dry stored and run every week for about seven years now and hes offered tosell it to me for 2000 straight up It needs a tidy up but nothing major just a bit of tlc and maybe some paint in places wich i could possibly do . Heres the difficult bit , i wasnt reAlly thinking of selling the vr but i think i could make a bit more than 2000 for it and that profit could go in to my house deposit and maybe once the golfs tidied up and i have a house i could return to a corrado having exparienced a mk2 Wat do you guys think am i being daft thinking of selling the corrado for a mk2 or does my reasons and rambling kind of make sense Any comments welcome and could possibly make me think straight lol ---------- Post added at 9:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:48 PM ---------- This is the one

Hi i need to book a good courier for dome wheels and im trying to keep the cost down if i can Iv rang an independant firm and well they said 500 quid lol Tnt said they will only deal with companys Parcel force said 65 pounds Can any one recommend me one please Any help would be much apreciated as im away from home and could really do to send them weekend Im on my phone and the search never works for some reason so sorry if this has already been covered Cheers

Not sure how you would check it but it could be the cold start valve thats gone , happened in my old 16valver and fuel was terrible , im not sure that would cause the revs to dip though that could be an isv problem , im sure someone with more exparience will be along soon to point you in the right direction
