Recent new 15" Cades Eros Wheels. Looking at getting a few extra bits done like wheel spacers to bring them out a bit and make it look a bit wider -
Cheers! Going to see if i can get some 4x100 wheels spacers- Probably about 20mm as ive got loads of space to make it look a lot wider and nicer

Finally got round to posting up pics of the ol' Corrado. Had it for a couple of months now its a 93 on a K and have since replaced the whole interior for a black one, new bonnet, new grill spoiler and a set of 15" Cades Eros in silver

It's been leaking for ages- I havent sourced the leak but its definitely coming from the pump somewhere. Over the last couple of weeks its started whining and now its really bad. I've got a new one now anyway that i got off someone on here for £20 so i may aswell replace it. You do have to swap the pulley over as mine hasnt got one.
-
Yeah just 16v mate. So you think its easier to just take the 3 bolts that attach the pulley to the pump and just slide it out?
-
Anyone?

Hi im going to attempt to replace my PAS pump as its knackered. I just need to find out how to loosen the belt thats connected to the pulley on the pump. Am i right in thinking that the tensioner for this is the one at the top of the alternator which then feeds down to the other belts? Any tips on replacement would be appreciated Cheers
-
Yeah good idea I've already cleaned it all off once to try and sort the leak but i'll try that talc trick tomorrow maybe. Do you think it maybe worth removing it to have a closed inspection and putting it bacK?
-
bump :(

Right a few pictures here- It looks like its just coming from the PAS pump but cannot see exactly where from- Its just saturated on the bottom half- Belt looks ok to me but im not exactly an expert Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Would it be easier to just fit a new pump? someones got one on here for £25 which ive agreed to buy
-
im pretty sure- And its deffo oil thats leaking- i've checked all around it and above it and its not being leaked on it appears to be coming from within, Plus the steering is making a noise
-
Belt seems fine to me but cant help to have a look i guess. I cant see an obviously location of the leak it just seems to be coming from all around the pump and formulates drips on the bottom- After 24 hours it'll leave a beer mat sized puddle Ill try and take some pictures and post them

In my opinion if its been off and stayed off and you're not overheating, and have plenty of coolant left in the tank then i wouldn't worry to be honest. Could've started flashing rapidly because you've overfilled it but should've cause too much of a problem

Right i discovered a leak from my PAS Steering pump... Its started to wind a bit when going slow and turning now i checked the levels in the PAS resevoir but somehow its practically full to the top? This was with the engine off so do you think that maybe theres a blockage somewhere thats forcing it to leak? The pump has leaked everyday for about 2 weeks now but like i said the fluid is still right to the top. Just some advice please to sort this out before i buy a new pump. Any way of checking? Its a 1993 16V by the way CHeers

When you remove the rocker cover is there much oil that will drip anywhere? Just wondering if i should be prepared for some to come out and drip onto the rest of the engine.
-
Glad someone brought that up. Read on another thread that they'd put extra sealant in there aswell.. I'll avoid it aswell then. I can imagine it might create a bit of a mess aswell.
-
ooops sorry mate Its a 1993 16V Cheers

Hello all, Discovered that my rocker cover gasket was the cause of an oil leak. Just received the gasket in the post today and i'm going to attempt to change it at the weekend. Im no expert so was looking for any advice on doing this and anything i should look out for when changing it Cheers!
-
Excellent just glad its not anything thats gonna be an absolute nightmare. Anything i should look out for when changing it??

Right i've had another gander and it's definitely the power steering pump so it seems the best bet is to just replace it which i will do Now for the other leak thats coming from the right hand side of the engine block, there was a little puddle of oil appearing just under the dizzy and from where i've traced it it appears to be coming from the very top and looks like it may be the rocky cover gasket? I've posted some pics to see what you guys think In this one you can see that theres already a brown looking bit of rubber where someone may have already patched it up? I assume thats not there naturally. http://img156.imageshack.us/i/rockergasket2.jpg/ Same again but a bit closer. The oil seems to be seeping out of that area and all the way down http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/438/rocckergasket3.jpg Hopefully someone can confirm that this is most likely to be rocker cover gasket as i can get one for about £10 and it''s not that much of a big job is it? Thanks in advance

Burgundy vr6 spotted on durham road in sunderland near lidl! i was in black corrado

Hmm sounds about right then. That'll be why the engine oil isnt going down- Plus i've noticed that the steering has felt a lot heavier than some of my other cars but dont know whether thats just because its a lot older. Ill take some pictures later and post them up
-
Ah i see- its a 2.0l 16V Its on the drivers side basically right behind the front wheel next to all the belts etc Ill try and get some pictures asap. Its deffo coming from that, it doesnt appear to be getting dripped on from something else.

Just need a bit of advice, Noticed a bit of an oil leak, had a look under and it appears to be dripping from the oil pump which after leaving it for a day left a pool of oil about the size of a beer mat. Is there a gasket on the oil pump or is it best to just replace the whole thing? Oil warning light isnt on and the oil levels dont appear to be going down fast. Also there seems to be another smaller leak coming from a part that i attached to the right hand side of the head under the distribution cap, i'm not really sure what this is but i put my hand under and there was lots of fresh oil so this appears to be the source any advice is greatly appreciated

Just an update as to what happened Changed the ignition switch and it fired up first time So it appears that when messing with my CD player i'd actually completely fried the ignition switch as the other poster suspected. The screw to the switch is near enough impossible to get to so i just took the steering wheel off, and both the top and the bottom section of the casing and just loosened a few of the bolts that secure the indicators etc to the column. This made it really really easy to get to and the switch screw is easy to get to. Took me about 20 mins in total Cheers everyone who helped
