Also, if i can't see if there's any actual loss of fluid then will it actually get any worse then it is already?

Hi all in need of some advice. My VR6's clutch started to feel a bit spongey and within a day was nearly on the floor unable to go into gear. I assumed this may have been the slave cylinder and there was a squelching sort of noise coming from the curly pipe that sits ontop or the gear box going into the slave so I assumed there was a leak somewhere I can't find any leak but what I did notice was the the cap on the brake fluid reservoir was a bit oily, the picture doesn't show it but it definitely had fresh oil around the rim, the levels are good though. Am I right in thinkin the clutch fluid is shared with the brake fluid and perhaps a dodgy reservoir cap could've let air into the system and caused my clutch issues. I had a fiddle about and I can now get it back into gear and it drives fine however still very spongey Any help appreciated

Random Google Find! - Fiat Car Parts for Corrados!
NewbridgeJob replied to _Meth's topic in Suppliers Forum
Great find, good work. Some really good prices too and some pretty obscure stuff. Will be amazing if it's all OEM aswell. Wonder if it's all unsold stock that was part of a VW dealer or something -
Could it not be some sort of air lock in the system? Try taking the cap off the reservoir and turning full lock left to right a few times. Mine was very notchy when I had a leak once

Drivers Door Won't open from the inside / outside Fixed :)
NewbridgeJob replied to busby's topic in Exterior
Sounds like an absolute nightmare that mate. I was nearly locked out of my car with the engine running one time as my central locking only worked on passenger side so when I used the car I mostly just unlocked the drivers door manually. Went to get in the car after jumpin out for a second and the door mechanism broke, it was only because the boot lock was faulty too that I managed to get in otherwise I'd have been well and truly goosed -
So do mk2's have the same splines as a Corrado then?
-
Hmm I'm not too sure if it's the same. Suppose some sort of circular fascia could sort the problem with the gap out

My Dad lives in Holland near an airbase and there's loads of US people who've had their cars shipped over too, it's really popular. They even have stores that accept payment in dollars
-
Anyone know if a Lupo steering wheel will fit in a Corrado? It was mentioned that they do but this was on a US forum. Not sure if the splines are the same so any help is appreciated

Thanks guys This picture wasn't taken by me by the way it was lifted off google images lol

Can anyone help me identify the no:53 relay (the one thats upside down) at the top of this picture? It's clicking as I'm trying to start the car

Long time Volkswagen owner, first time Corrado...

Congrats on the purchase you won't regret it. There's loads of threads on the charger rebuilds, try the search boxes too I'm sure you'll fInd plenty of advice -
This has actually helped me out a bit too cos I've just removed my uprated loom

I'm not sure a faulty ignition switch would make it run badly though? A dodgy switch usually just makes it impossible to start. If it was running badly and then stalled it could be a faulty coilpack maybe? Try taking out all the HT leads and putting them back in again

My ABS is fine but the light is always on. I just unplugged the switch for the MOT to save the hassle
-
Excellent Stu, I'll probably have them off you. I'll ring the garage and see how much they'll charge me for the welding and get back to you Wasn't expecting such a quick response! Cheers
-
Car has failed its MOT on the sills and apparently need some new ones welding in. I'm assuming it'll work out cheaper for me to get the sills myself rather than the garage, so if anyone's got the repair sections thatd be swell. Based in Sunderland
-
Well there's 4 connections, 2 coming from the battery and 2 from the headlights. All the connections are then going into one relay. Strange one. Maybe I'll try plugging in another one and seeing what happens
-
Any pictures of the coilovers? Interested
-
Well the relay I've got is pretty clean, I've only got one relay though? Should there be 2?
-
Yeah there was one 10A fuse but it looked ok to me. I'll replace it anyway and see how it goes Cheers guys

Wondering if anyone has an idea of what's wrong with my headlights Got a set of in-pro headlights and only the side lights and full beam lights seem to work, when you switch on the main beam (normal night time headlights) they won't come on. I've replaced the 53 relay that was attached to the updated wiring near the battery but no luck, I've tried putting the wires in different combinations too but still no luck. Any ideas? I'm thinkin that it could boil down to the actual headlight switch. Need it fixed ASAP as I've got an MOT coming up Cheers in advance!

Excellent, cheers fellas I'll give that a go and let you know how I get on
