hi all. After all the rain ive got a wet drivers footwell. Have traced it back as far as its coming down the a pillar from wot seems to be the front of the screen. it runs down a pillar then thru dash. Pass the fuse board and into footwell. Have anyone else ever had this. It looks like previous owners have plowed a load of mastic along side of screen but to no avail please help

Think i have spotted you there to. Where the hell were you fishing if parked up by KFC, in the canal, long way to lug your kit??? I sometimes head a bit further up stream along Bristol road. I cant believe how many of you lot seam to be around Gloucester area. I know of a few corrados near me but none of the owners are that into internet forums etc... A Aqua Blue VR6 on 17inch Momo Arrows, is a mate of mines. A Black 16v with a VOLKSWAGEN script from a Caddy on the back panel is another mate A Aqua Blue G60 that lives down by Purton outside of Cam used to belong to someone i know but i think it is slowly dying now. Do any of you guys head up to the Air Balloon pub at the top of Birdlip? That pub gets used for meets quite often. DAVE . I was fishing at the cut out. Guaa waters known as baxters.not parked at kfc was in slip road by canal. When do meets happen at birdlip

hi again all, im still having probs with my 2.0 16v idling a bit rough. car drives fine above 1000 rpm but sounds like its struggling on idle.get a little smell of petrol more on slow runs averaging 20 mpg i have three isvs none of which hum or vibrate like ive read but all work fine on 12v. should i have voltage to both wires on the isv or just one. could i be right......my throttle body seems worn. the little pulley under where the acc cable is drops back about 3-4mm more than it seems it should.cant adjust position of it or compensate with throttle cable as it doesnt hit the switch. ithink the little pulley controls the little butterfly in tb, when i hold it it the 'correct' position revs pick up to 900-950 and sounds much better, when i let go car nearly stalls, then picks back up lumpy would i be on the right track that my tb is worn and closing the little bfly too much therefore starving engine of air and increasing fuel to keep engine running , also thought this could explain my exhaust popping when decel unless i blip throttle????? any advice, shoot downs or ideas welcome

hi all. My starter has started playing up. Turn the key and it just grinds for a bit. After a few attempts it finnally turns engine over and starts. Anyone know if any other starters fit a 20 16v as im going to breakers tomorrow cheers

VAG / Scorpion 5000 Alarm Keyfob Forgotten - Reset Procedure
adolf1976 replied to Tekara's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
hello again got more info. . . .discon batt today to take starter off. When i refitted batt alarm sounded no matter what i did. Happened everytime i recon batt. Then i realised it was becos my boot/doors were open. Once i shut them alarm reset as before. If your alarm still wont respond you may want to check the door and boot latch wires they could be telling the alarm that the door is open but its not. -

i think its the same.i had similar problem. Is there a key in the top of alarm like a d lock. If so turn it. Mine needed wd40 to free up. Alarm is quiet with it one way and key fob didnt respond turned it disconected battery then reconect and hold button down as soon as you touch terminal. Hold until alarm beeps. As i said before it worked for me -
VAG / Scorpion 5000 Alarm Keyfob Forgotten - Reset Procedure
adolf1976 replied to Tekara's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
hello all ive got this alarm i think one concave one raised button. Ive had recent probs with the fob not opening car or anything else. Read on net to disconnect battery for a bit to let power drain. Should hear a dying beep/squeak. Reconnect battery and immediatly hold concave button until alarm beeps. Had to do it three times in two weeks but it works everytime. Hope it helps you guys -
hi all. Spent five hours late last nite fitting new water pump. Stat. Stat housing and rocker gasket. Started up a bit wierd wouldnt hold revs then sorted itself out and calmed down. Exhaust Still a bit chuggy and popping thru down change.but it doesnt happen if i keep revs up. Old stat was siezed shut wouldnt move at all. Old wp groaned when turned and rkr gasket was leakin nearly all round. Took it out for a gentle drive this morning and all seems fine. Can anyone confirm if the lambda can make the pop and make it run rich

just taken some bits off here and there to try and find the leaks. The water seems to be coming from the plastic joint on the bottom of water pump just below lower pipe. I am still changin the pump as this lower pipe has never been hot.anyone know what the plastic bit is called. The oil leak starts from below rocker cover goes thru manifold and on down to the sump .also there is a little amount of oil in spark plug tubes. So im guessin its the roker cvr gasket. Any opinions ? After taking a lot of bits off and being under and around car for a good few hours. I think its been stood up with thee idle prob and since developed the seized brake as a result. These fresh probs could arisen from it being driven again daily. Thanks for all your help guys you know your dubs. Scott

is it alright to jack up the car on the front wishbones under suspension. Car wont drive up onto car ramps without hitting the front. Side jacks dont go high enough

some more info on the car. I have only had it two weeks its done 138000 miles. Had issues when i brought it. Idle was lumpy and exhaust was blowin. Replaced isv and got better. Clunking on uptake of drive. top mounts i think starter sticks now and again rear caliper siezed had a leak from front water flange. Replaced put exhaust back together. Ive garaged it every night and it hasnt made a mark. After fixin exh i looked under the car and noticed the droplets forming on the lowest part. Thought it maybe due to the pressure from exhaust being fixed. Think the water pump maybe shot it looks rather old and i dont no cars history. It was brought by someone and they coulnt fix idle. Changed fuel pump and numerous other things. Thats all i no apart from it come from london area before that. Im pretty good with cars just no experience with these

hello all, fixed my blowing exhaust two days ago, lookd like it had come apart with a knock on section bhind cat. next day running pretty sound compared to what it was but has since developed a oil leak. never noticed it on floor before, only since doing exhaust, its not a great amount probably 2/3 table spoons full.and ive noticed water on floor too. after day two exhaust was blowy again although not as bad and the water and oil was getting less. had car up today(just finished) and put exhaust together again, started and idled fine and after i turned it off oil and water drops were forming on lower front engine mount/water pump bit. also if i rev past 4000 rpm the exhaust pops a couple of times on the way back down, it did before but i put it down to wrong/poor exhaust fitting. just investigated oil and water leak, i think the water pump could have a minor leak or isnt working does take an age to read temp in car. oil leak was a bit more worrying, sump is covered in oil so is under side of car, have oil right up to rocker cover and what looks like a bit around exhaust manifold. rather worried that i need new engine. :( engine pulls well but i dont want to damage it anymore so all help is appreciated thanks in advance to those that can help

hi all, since last post i have changed my isv which made car run a bit better. now i notice the exhaust is blowing somewhere but it looks wrong. its got a round tail pipe and where it fits the cat it looks bodged. havnt had time to get under yet just presuming oem exhaust had oval tips is this correct for a 2.0 16v. am getting proper phut phut on the downward gear change so is definatly a hole.
