Well come on!!!! Even if he had not had a racing career he would still be a better driver...especially with a name like... Tiff Needell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depending where you look the none turbo 2+2 are rated at 170 or 220 up to the turbo 2+2 at 280-300bhp. All I know is it is a fantastic looking motor, front back and sides. the 350z is too much of a celica/911 hybrid, bit odd looking really (and I can't afford one!!)

I'm reliably informed the only colour 3000GT to get is a red one, unless you want to look like Knight Rider or the Saint and I don't like red cars, no offence meant to those that own red C's!!!! As for the Supra ...mmmmmmm......would have to be like the multi-tone green/tourquois and blue one I occasionally see on the M27 near Southampton.

Got the chest rug... just need the medallions!! lol

Cheers guys, main thing against appears to be MPG though I can't find any tech data yet, still looking. Munkay - I have considered a Mitsi 3000GT , had a look over one recently but it had not been looked after, the body work was scratched to bits, horrible damp smell inside, and the engine sounded like a bag of bolt's. I did not even bother putting it in to gear. Similar money as the 300zx and similar refinements inside but I just seem to prefer the look of the 300zx. I'm a couple of months away from buying, I 'll be sure to check out anything I see. Note: the owners reviews on http://www.parkers.co.uk are pretty good, this is where I got most of my info on my C before finding this forum. It's a long link btw --- http://www.parkers.co.uk/choosing/user_ ... =&spare2=#

Any one know anything about these "supercars for fiesta money" Theres one local to me, up for just under £4k, can they be any worse to run than a G60/VR6? Love the look of them and there is plenty of reading to be done, I was just hoping some one has first hand knowledge/experience. It's the Twin Turbo version FYI. Jap import. 91 H, 42K miles http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk - Autotrader - NISSAN 300 ZX

My brother was pulled doing 105mph on the M6 in his Camry last year, he got 28 day ban, £300 fine, £50 costs AND 3 points. The points and fine are yours regardless of whether they ban you or not! It's a three pointer no matter what way you look at it :(

Daily driver here too, about 270 mile a week, just done a trip up to Scotland, 960 mile round trip and she ran like a dream, even got some respect from a Skyline on the M6 nr junction 23 about 11ish on Sat night. Mind you he did leave me standing after about 4 miles!

I'm in "negotiations" with a mate who owns an anodising firm. Mainly does marine stuff for high class yachts and cruisers etc. But I'm sure once I've plied him with enough alcohol he'll do the business! I'll see if we can get a group deal if enough are interested. I'll start a new thread if/when I have more info.

Don't stray off the footpath at night!! :vamp:

read this before filling up on s/market petrol!!
del68 replied to dazzyvr6's topic in General Car Chat
A few years ago I used to work at a petro-chemical storage facility in Teesside, opposite a big Phillips Petroleum depot. The place where I worked had a constant flow of tankers filling up to supply garages across the north east. These tankers, or barrels as we refered to them, all came in loaded from Tanks 1 through to 5, diesel, UL95 RON, UL97 RON, 4*, and LPG. The livery on these barrels.........Total, Sainsbury's, Safeway, ASDA, Fox, FINA, Q8, Jet. Basicallyt the supermarkets got thier fuel from the SAME tanks as some of the branded fuel suppliers. Make of it what you will, but I personally have to shop by my wallet, and apart rom the pick up using Super or Optimax I've had no real benefit from using those fuels. Supermarket fuel is just as good as any other I find, normally a few pence cheaper than anywhere else so more fuel for the same £20-£30. Just my tuppence worth! 8) -
We're up to 81.9 & 83.9 for unleaded,( two texaco garages less then a mile apart on the same road!!!) I'll be watching this weekends protests with great interest but in saying that, remember last time petrol got close to 80p per ltr? the country was nearly brought to a standstill, what's happened? have people just givin up? I agree with one chain of thought not to buy fuel from Esso or BP garages at all, and I don't. targeted protest on one/two major suppliers will have an effect if enough people join in and then the companies go to the government and say do something, they won't just reduce their prices, they will look to the powers that be to reduce tax which would have an immediate effect on the pumps. I'm waffling now.....time for zzzz's me thinks! Night all.

My 1.8 16v has the larger tank and a full tank on the longer runs returns about 450/475 miles, on the other hand, the daily commute to work, about 279miles a week, in heavy traffic, mixture of motorway (carpark!) and town , I'll use a full tank :(

This is just SOOOOOOOOO Stupid it has to be a wind up!!!! Come on...no-one in their right mind would paint the disk's and pads......would they? :?

Has got to be one of the best idea's I've seen on the forum, although I think existing forum members cars could be exempt from scrutiny as most have been ogled by other members at some time during their ownership. I'd be happy to give a local motor the once over, mind you I'd only be good for checking the cosmetic appearance and not the mechanical aspect's. But if the body work/paint, trim etc. is good it must be worth further mechanical inspection. As for payment, knowing you've helped another member find a good deal/ car of their dreams, is payment enough for me. I keep mentioning this guy, and I still owe him a drink, but VR6 South helped me out big time when I was looking around for my first C.

Mine failed on the NSR caliper/handbrake and a "rack boot" ? New caliper, rack boot, couple of hours labour and the MOT £180! :( suppose it could have been worse :|

Mine too tomorrow

We've got 77.6 & 77.9 , 95RON atTesco's & ASDA in Havant. I've used Optimax and have not really had the benefit on the daily grind through to Southampton, you know what I mean, the MMMMZZzzzz27

I think the Concept C is fantastic, althought a Corrado with no roof is not something I had in mind, An up to date hardtop coupe, with the C's handling and charisma, wow! I think the Concept C could be it!
-
Sorry guys, but I think they make anything other than an A8 look like a Matchbox or Hotwheels toy. Just my opinion though. It would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing......even if it was Corrado's!! :D

Sorry for shouting but I'm trying to get hold of Daz at G-Werks and his mobiles off. Anyone have an alternate contact number for him? I'm watching the forum so please reply here rather than PM me then I'll call/e-mail you. I have to pick up a door from him and I need to find out where he's at.
