Yesterday saw a G reg burgandy 16v on the A4103 heading toward Hereford at 4ish in the afternoon then not long after saw an L reg ice grey violet VR on a bridge over the river Severn at Worcester being driven by a long curlyhaired bloke. After that at 6.30pm a red J reg on the A46 between Newark and Lincoln. Then today a white H reg G60 in Homebase carpark in Hereford at 4.30pm, shurely shomebody here???????

I believe that it was Nick Micouris from this forum

Allegro? Pah. For a practical British classic from that era look no further than the Austin Maxi, you could make a double bed in the back with the rear seats folded down.. :-P
-
No sticker in the boot area? If this is missing and you also have moody paintwork and rust bubbling around this area then it *could* have had a rear end shunt and not been properly repaired.
-
Red N reg seen at 10 am today in a pub carpark in Longtown near the England/Wales border. Then at 5pm a blue L reg 16v on original Estorils parked in Foley Trading Estate in Hereford, you had a CCGB sticker in yer back window :D

Big thanks to aposegil for the rear axle bearings received today, no probs at all cheers mate. 8)

Interesting, it'd be good to see those pics sometime  How did you get hold of them? You're sitting on a nice little goldmine there :)

I'm sure I remember a P reg Mystic blue Storm on a website somewhere, wonder how rare they are? Registered in late '96 over a year after they were discontinued.

Taken a while back and forgotten, added about 2k since

Car's looking superb Jim, after cleaning it up like that and taking those pics how could you possibly want to part with it? -
Many thanks to jimsG60 for the wanted magazine request. He was quick to respond and it arrived well packed and in great condition today. Cheers Jim :thumbleft:

According to the RAC vehicle data check no matching registration number is found, so who knows? Another one bitten the dust maybe.. :(

Always loved this classic press photo of the Green Storm http://www.volkswizard.co.uk/images/CorradoStorm2.jpg 8)

Blue igniters from C and R in Nottingham, never had any trouble since fitting them last summer, around £80 delivered for the set of six, plus CCGB discount if you mention it

Lock needs to be in the horizontal position for central locking to operate boot. If it's in the vertical position it is always locked, until you unlock it manually!
-
That was quick Jim, cheers! Ok I'll get that changed assuming it not too difficult a job.
-
Ok guys here's the problem. I turn the key in the ignition and engine fires up first time as always, however the head unit is becoming very temperamental. Sometimes it switches on with the turn of the key, sometimes it doesn't. Only way to make sure it works is to turn the key slightly whilst the engine is running, but even then it may switch itself off at any time, but usually when driving along. All very strange, anyone any ideas?

Dark blue G reg on the A40 by Monmouth @ 3.30pm on Sunday, you kept up well... I was around the Soton / Portsmouth area up 'til today too  -
Thanks for the input guys, that's a great help :)
-
Come on VR6 guys, need helping out here, or are you all driving around with worn out rubber and not realising it? :?
-
Yeah I'll do that for the fitting and geometry set up. Thing is I should be able to get things like bushes at trade price, so any prices you guys give I can compare like for like. All I need to know is which ones to get and whether to go with OE or uprated items. Cheers.

'tis indeed the late great bass master! :notworthy: Like others have said, go for the Cupra R Chris.

Looking at ditching my tired original shocks and springs for either FK Konigsport coilovers or the H&R / Koni TA setup. What I need to know is what other suspension parts should I replace front and rear while I'm there, ie bushes? Need to know the cost of new bushes and a rough price of getting them fitted too, would probably get it done at somewhere like Stealth, rather than the local dealer as I want it done properly. Thanks in advance, Dave.
