Wouldn't mind seeing a few of those colours, some I've never heard of, namely Irish green, Limoge blue, Purpley light blue and Black violet 8)
-
According to the VR6 model history section in the May '02 edition of VW Driver mag, the actual colour of this car is called Magic Black. Although I'm not sure whether it is either flat or metallic.
-
Nah the rarest is probably Khaki, remember seeing a C for sale a few years ago in that colour, advert said it was the only one in the UK IIRC and looking at the picture of it I could see why...
-
I'm sure VW made 3 door versions of both 8v and 16v in Oak Green
-
Mine doesnt do anything odd apart from indicating a rev surge between gears going up. Now I know why you are called kangarooboy, Matt. No Matt mine doesn't do this either, might try fitting a new throttle cable to see if it improves things though
-
Congratulations, what a great choice! 8) What colour is it? I'm not sure about the electric mirrors not working, could be a loose connection though. My electric mirrors work it's just the heating elements on both of them that don't work. Yep it sure is, I'm the same and I'm 30, owned mine for almost a year and love it to bits. :D

Late Mk2 for me, then Mk1. After that only the Mk3 VR6 and Mk4 Anniversary and R32 are of any interest. :-P
-
Mine does this too metman. I also time my clutch/accelerator operation to try and stop the surge but sometimes it feels like it takes forever to change gear, is this *yet another corrado quirk*?! I wonder if it could be a coincidence that the problem affects your car, kangarooboys and mine, which all happen to be some of the last of the VR6s?

I'm 6' 1" and think the standard leather seats are very comfortable and you can obtain a superb driving position with the correct adjustment of steering wheel and seat. Have you tried a Rover 75 or even the MG version if you like a bit of comfort and 'go'?! :-P
-
I wouldn't care what car it was, if I'd worked hard to buy a car I really wanted (as we all have), and they did something as shockingly bad as that then I'd go out and hunt the piece of lowlife sh!t down, cos you know the police would do sweet F.A as usual! :mad2:
-
Advertise it for £3,995 and go from there, wouldn't go much lower than £3,700 tho TBH
-
Saw 2 in Lincoln today, just before 3pm, both on South Park Road by the Common. One was dark blue with a personalised plate the other was red with clear/red rear lights. Any takers?

i saw my first Golf Limited in person the other day...
DaveStorm replied to Red=Fast's topic in General Car Chat
With 210bhp as standard these were (still are) awesome cars. I remember the owner of R and A Design in Grimsby had one a few years back, which was also converted to RHD. I'd heard there are about 4 or so Golf Limiteds in the UK now, maybe more. :?: -
AFAIK these imported ones are 'E' marked and also have the mandatory reflectors required for a UK MOT
-
Nice one mate, I like the original angular Polo, used to own an old 895cc Mk I in bright yellow many years ago but it had the plastic bumpers so didn't look as sweet as this one 8)

Offer £5K Why? I don't need to.
-
Bit late with this one but spotted an H reg 16v parked in Wellington near Telford last Saturday at midday, then on Sunday saw a G reg 16v heading north on the A49 at Wellington near Hereford also at about midday
-
£7500 for a 117,000 miler? Some fool will no doubt pay it.
-
Seriously overpriced, surely someone won't pay anywhere near that much
-
Whats the fastest you have ever been in your Corrado?
DaveStorm replied to surfer.vr6's topic in General Car Chat
144mph the other week on the way down to cornwall and the car was still pulling, it was just me who daren't go much faster! :-P Car still felt so stable and solid though. 8) cough*twas a private road BTW officer*cough  -
I'd say £5k as a rough guesstimate if it's in A1 condition? Or does that sound too optimistic? It's just there's been some on the trader recently for around that price, and they have been higher mileage too.
-
Make that 3! :-P
-
Just remembered I saw a red H reg in the car park at Eden in Cornwall on Friday 9th July, had 5 spoke alloys on it.
-
That's good to hear Dave. :) When are you relocating?
-
Dave are you selling your mint Storm?? What could possibly replace it? :?
