Thanks for that---so why does the green light go out?
-
When I turn on my sidelights there is a green indicator lamp which illuminates on the switch. When I then turn on main beam the green light goes out  Before I take it apart what should it do and any idea what could be wrong?----I have the early type rocker switches. Does the switch simply prise out of the dash?

I sure will -
Thanks for looking after her Andy. She drives very well :D Darren
-
She feels nice and tight- handles very well and loves to rev. When driving less enthusiastically the exhaust is subtle--- that changes as the revs rise. I knew that I needed a tyre (I will replace both fronts) and a wheel bearing is whining but other than that      Darren

I should have one soon. I am in Yelverton- where are you guys? Darren

Thanks for the info- some cars seem to have the chains etc done---Am I correct in thinking this is an engine out job? Others have just had the tensioner done--Is this done with the engine in place??? and therefore the cheaper option. Can the tensioners all be done without taking the engine out?
