Hi guys ,just wondering if the vr6 should have heated door mirrors.I owned a 1.8 and the mirrors were heated on it and the ones now on my 1996 vr6 still stay misted .thanks

Thanks leon263,,,,i will try the information you supplied. As far as violence affecting insurance here goes,i guess that is what has made premiums so high in the first place.Ever since i was 16 i have been annoyed at the difference insurance is here compared to the mainland,even though the violence is always situated around selected areas.As soon as an insurance company here the BT post code,it makes a difference.

Thanks for the replys guys.I contacted my local vw dealer to ask advice on the matter and the guy in parts said that he never had to sell any gear box oil in 27 years. I think i will just go ahead and change it anyhow. What about the clutch,meby its dry and dosent need oil??

Hi does anyone know if i should change the gear box oil in my VR6.I did read that VW sent the cars out with a sealed box.Any coments would be great...ps what about the clutch fluid also. Alan
