This is exactly what I was going to do, I've got the mini spy cam and now I'm lookign to build a PC into my car, would it not be eaiser to just remap an XBox considering its a PC platform, stick larger harddrive into it and there you have it!! Any thoughts??

I've got a 2.0 16v and yep I would'nt mind a VR6 but, I've got to be practical, I can't afford to run a VR, what with fuels costs insurance etc. I bought my C for one reason and that is that I wanted a Corrado, but not to teh extent that I can't afford to drive it !! The guys at VW designed the cars and engines to suit different kinds of poeple, and that includes peoples budgets etc. Most people who see my car or have sat in it say that the Corrado is a remarkable car, even my bro-in-law could not fault it and he drives a Subaru imprezza turbo!! :D I'm just glad that I've got one and this makes me happy :D

Mate I've had the same damage done to my car, its annoying i know. The first thing I did was to get a the door pins removed and then look for armour plaes for the car, I've had no luck finding any yet so any help would be appreciated. I was alos cosidering having the whole lock remove and just having a smooth flush door but I don't think its allowed for MOT purposes!!

Man that is bad news mate! :( I agree with the others it sounds like a write off. The comment about a "higher power determined to rid the uk of Corrado's", we should all start thinking about getting the Corrado's off the road and into storage in a safe place!!!

That looks really good for a diy job!! Nice :D

Mate I had the same problem locating an ignition coil, I decided to order it from VAG it takes 1 week from Germany special order and costs about £120. I was lucky mine was not the ignition coil so I cancelled the order. It turned out to be the earth straps have you checked those?? Sanj.

Right I have my suspicions it might be the sensor will check it if I can find it, I dont' see how it can go since I only replaced the Oil Filter and undid the sump plug at the bottom, and I did'nt see any wires around those to knock the sensors??
-
Folks, I did an oil change yesterday and replaced the oil and the oil filter, however driving to work today and I pressed the MAF button to get oil temp reading and all I get is " - - -", all the other readings like mpg, time, etc are fine. Have I damaged the oil temp sensor? :( I don't see how, it was a straight forward oil change. Any ideas folks?? If it is the oil temp sensor where is it?? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks Sanj

That would be great Henny, I was also thinking of connecting a camera to the rear of the car to help parking etc. Once these camera's are in place I thought of getting a screen to view these. At the moment I want to use the camera to see pics while its parked on the street to keep an eye on pikey sorts!!

I folks, igot my hands a wireless spy camera that I want to place in the dashboard as an extra security measure. The problem that I'm having is how to connect the camera up. it runs on 8v DC supply at 200mW. The car battery runs on 12v DC, which will no doubt fry the camera circuits if connected directly. Do any of you electronics wizz's know how to solve this prob. I understand that you have to step down the voltage using transformers but I can't seem to get a transformer on the market that will do that. Any ideas guys?? Cheers Sanj.

Love the car, and the interior is spot on!!! :D -
Mate I had the same problem with mine, I had the front end of my C doen via the insurance company and their recommended repairer - Solas, and they did an absolute dogs ear of it. The full beam on my headlights did'nt work, there was a bolt missing from the front drivers side wing missing, and to top it all off when I was driving it around town the tyre blew cos it was scraping on the inside on the suspension arm!! I took it back and they spent another 2 weeks getting the car sorted to my exacting standards. Well I wont be using them again, but goes to show that you should be aware of repairers, even big companies. Hope you get it fixed proper mate.. Sanj.

I first saw a corrado when it first was introduced. I did'nt know too much about cars then, and was only a school boy then. However the first time I saw the corrado, I just fell in love with it, and thought that one day I will own one. The years went bu and everytime I saw a corrado on the road I would just go insane. Last year I deicided to buy a car, it was a choice between a Corrado or a Audi Coupe, it did'nt take me long to make the decision. When I looked up the corrado in Autotrader and saw a 2.0 L 16 valver. I couldnt afford a VR6 to buy or run so ended up getting the 2.0L 16v. Every time I drive the car I just get this big grin on my face, then handling is phenomenal. But the one thing that really tops it off has got to be the exclusivity of driving one. The looks that the car pulls makes you proud to be the owner of a rare car. I've spent a lot of money on it, (not as much as a lot of your here!!), and just can't bear to let go of the car. Rationale woudl dictate that I should sell it and get another affordable car but, the corrado has an allure to it that really is hard to resist!! I'm lucky that my fiance loves the car too and would hate it for me to get rid of it, she understands my passion for it. I have noticed in the past year though that the interest in the Corrado is increasing and a lot of people would want one, I'm content now with owning a peace of history. Sanj.

Many congratulations, hope baby and mum's doing well too !!! :D Sanj.

Yep I did mine too and it does sound so much deeper and with a bit of grunt!! I drilled my airbox with a 11mm drill bit, don't go overboard juist drill to how you like the sound. Fit a K & N filter too and it will improve the airflow a lot. I did'nt bother with removing the snorkel. Sanj.

Mate just had mine repaired mine was in a worse state than that, I had a new slam panel, bonnet, two headlights, and fog light, fron drivers wing, luckily it was not a write off!! Yours is less than what my damage was so you'll get away from it being written off!! Its a bloody shame mate I know how it feels!! Sanj -
Bally, hows it going? Just had look at your car pics, nice work!! Love the wheels especially!!! Are you going to do anything more to the interior mate? Sanj.

Just to let you folks know that the BAD 130y number plate was owned by a guy round teh block from my house a few years back. It used to be on a BMW 3 series if I remember right, I remember cos I thought it was a good plate, and always wanted to put on a porsche (from the Bad Boys film!!!) -
I agree with Bobbywhacker, get a sports exhausted fitted it does work out almost the same price as OE ones but, you get the added satisfaction of deeper sound and performance :D . I've got a Magnex cat back system on my 2.0l 16v and it sounds good. not too loud!! :D

Mate I had the same problem a few weeks back, I changed the battery and it turned out to be the alarm which was draining it. So I now keep it in Valet mode till I get a new one fitted. To test the alternator connect a multimeter to the battery and see what the voltage is, it should be about 13-14.5volts. this means that the alternators charging the battery. Turn on all the electrics while the car is running and the voltage should remain about the same, if not then the alternator is not up to the job. Good luck mate.

Mate I just bought a battery for my 2.0 L 16v, its a bosch silvertop. Theres not much space to put a battery in the engine bay so your better off sticking to a bosch one. Not sure on the battery size but I put an 075 type in mine if that helps.
