if you go to the jbl website, they have a online program that selects the car and the speakers at the same time quite useful if you just want to use the original holes.
-
it does have a dial and 2 levers, but i wasnt going on about those. it has 2 cogs and 1 lever under the heater unit
-
i think mine has 2 dials and one lever?
-
found the problem, the cogs under the heater had come off and one is broken does anyone know if anyone has got any spares???
-
hello all, this morning as it was nice and frosty my heater was working fine on the windscreen, i changed the direction down to the feet and then back but something happened and all i get now when it is on the windscreen is a whistle-ing, it works fine on all other settings apart from feet/screen. anyone know what to do and what it may be, i think either a a cable has come off or one of the tubes?? urgent
-
well Kev, i have a 1.8 16v which i am thinking of selling soon so if thats adequate for you get in touch
-
141,000 but still as good as ever!
-
through the bulkhead (a rubber grommet) then under the passenger plastic door channel/sill area easy
-
paul, do you know if the headlining was still in the car as im after a new one as mine is knackd
-
its simple the grill pops off with a little screwdriver and the speaker pops out the same way, then just unplug and reconnect the new one. job done
-
you could use http://www.topgear.co.uk as someone on this site mentioned a while ago about tyres, they are very cheap. i use yokohamas and i think i will be trying something else next time as i am not too impressed with them.
-
well mine takes about 4 touches......................or did i mean 4 winds on the handle
-
well mate i have 205/40 they are a bit hard and i have standard suspension. it may also be my tyre make which are yokohama's which are supposedly hard tyres. i shall be getting toyo or avon next from http://www.topgear.co.uk as there cheap as well.
-
tried the ht leads mate, no joy i think. so it probably means a fuel problem somewhere.
-
well chaps as you all said, i tried some new ht leads and i dont think it made any difference to the starting although i think it feels a bit better generally. so i think the fuel system check is next!! doh
-
nik, i have a similar problem at the moment, you can see under the boring heading in the problems forum. i was told by a garage that it was my leads but a couple of chaps have said its my fuel pressure. still havent sorted it though. keep us informed if you try something.
-
well chaps i checked the switch and its buzzing like a vibrator, so not sure what to do now should i revert back to getting some HT leads??
-
well i had a look and there were no wires loose for sure, but i did see the valve is there anyway of checking if it works or not?
-
spitnshine, what were the symptoms that you had. the garage just told me it was the leads and that they were getting condensated. where is it positioned in the engine bay exactly. do you have a 16v as the guys before told me about this switch and dont have one where they said so i havenet got a clue?
-
well i would of hopefully said about £200 as your not having that much done apart from checks and fluids
-
joby, what was the part number as i need to get one of those key phobs or whatever they are.
-
joby, i have a couple more. i asked one of the guys on here to reduce the pics i had as i could not get them small enough either.
-
Joby, what sort of key did you get one of those nice cassette type ones?
-
i would like to know where you got the bentley cd from ..... Maybe you can send me an email or a private message. Edit: Longman, we of course do not condone piracy on the forums ;). If someone were to email you, that would be a different matter altogether ;). Thanks VR6
