    corrado care!

Bargain at that price!! Could have easily forked out another garnd if not more for a storm of that milage. You must have done some good haggling!! 8) "CHEERS! guess the general concencus is- treat it nice, warm it up first then get stuck in!!! sound like anything else?!?! " I liked that comment, my girlfriend coming home this weekend. haven't seen her for 7 weeks. I'll be talking that advice! timo
  2. oh well, to the stealers it is. Just sent my membership to the Corrado Club of GB last weekend so I think i'll wait until that comes through before I pay them a visit. They better give me some serious discount. Spent a fortune at that place. They know me by name now for pete's sake!!! I can get K&N off needforspeed.com, they are doing 20% off.

    corrado care!

dont rag it, ma man. Chews fuel big time!! You'll soon learn after a few weeks of ownership. You dont need to rag it to get places fast! Well done in buying it though, sounds a beauty. How much did you pay if you dont mind me asking? P.s. The grin on your face from driving a VR never goes away!! I still have mine and I've had mine nearly a year. ta Simon
  5. No not dizzy model, coilpack. There is only one hall sender on the website. Doesn't seem to be one specifically for the VR. Will it be the same one?? Bugger, i was in Halfords the other day. Still I was just trying to get all the stuff from the same place. Make the postage more efficient. It'll cost me 3 quid in petrol to get the cap from halfords! :? So the K&N should be alright?! Cool. cheers Kev timo
  6. Just want to make sure these parts from gsf are the right ones. I'm in the process of replacing alot of the sensors on ma vr6 so this week the hall sender is up. Thought I would get K&N filter whilst and expansion cap too. so, hall sender part is "92379 - HALL SENDER - CO 1.8 16V All" . I'm guessing 'All' means, all corrado engines?? Next K&N part "12310 K+N AIR FILTER CO 9/88 >" . Doesn't say which engine this is for but will it fit my vr. Dont think there are the same size are they?! Finally is the expansion cap "17422 EXPANSION TANK CAP CO 9/88 > ". Guessing this item is generic across the engines but just want to be sure. Cheers Anyone who has ordered these parts from gsf would be most helpful timo
  7. I have the same problem with my vr6. I too would like this answered. Think replacing the cap is the solution though. timo
  8. Mmm, maybe I should have waited a wee bit. SHould have put more thought in it. Nevermind you can never change the oil too much. Had decided to change the oil every 8k miles, but it might have to be 5k miles of less :( £££££!! ta timo
  9. Are you kidding?!!?!? only changed it 3k miles ago. Might at least wait another 2k miles then do it at the earliest. Fancy getting the new "motorsport" oil from mobil 1 slapped in it in time for the summer. Did think perhaps changing the oil might become an option :( chears ma man timo
  10. tried some of this bad boy stuff, noticed a difference just about straight away. Oil seems to have got rather dirty/black, which must be sort of a good sign. Cleaned up something :D , but mucked up my oil :( . Still very happy with it. Hope it does thinken up the oil a bit, cos it uses quite a bit ( using mobil 1  ). ta timo
  11. why dont you just get a G60? or get a g60 and do a 16v conversion. Probably be easier that way! ta timo
  12. "AFAIK". Sorry to be stupid, but what the speg does that mean. Seen in on loads of threads but cant figure it out. sorry, sorry, sorry    I usually really good on them! timo
  13. Its connected in between the air filter box and the curved part of the air inlet pipe. It has a silver-ish box on the side of it. There is a connector plug on it which is what needs unplugged and sprayed with WD40. timo
  14. The black one is the air conditioning. If you dont have air con then this sensor isn't used. The yellow one is for the temp gauge in the instrument panel. That's what I have read in other post and from my Bentley Manual  timo
  15. Look at the front right of the engine, underneath the intake manifold bends at the front of the engine on the right hand side. (got that?) The blue temperature sensor is housed along with a yellow and black temp sensor which are all plugged into the thermostat housing. If you know where the thermostat housing is then great, otherwise look under the distributor or follow the coolant pipes that go into the right hand side of the engine (looking from the front of the car). You will find the temp sensors are covered by a plastic black sheild. Pull this to the right, it will come off with enough force leaving you looking at the temp sensors. Its then just a matter of quickly swapping them, hopefully without losing too much coolant. Hope that helps, you're probably confused now ta timo
  16. My sister has just got a scooby turbo.(old style) Bring on the races. I hope to prove the theory that the old vr6 can beat it mid range and top end. You can't beat displacement!! Anyway, on to the subject of my thread. Car is totally standard but she wants it to be louder, exhaust wise! The bub bub bub bub bub down the street noise is what she wants. Will getting just a back box due the trick or would a full system do the job?? (dont think the full system is a option really, she skint now!! cheers timo
  17. Timo.

    Brakes??

my vr brake pedal makes the same noise. Think it might just be the way it is. Least I hope so anyway timo

    Rocker Breather Pipe

Is the engine 'breathinga bit' a bad thing?? Is there something thank causes this? ta timo
  19. I couldn't believe the acceleration it had even at 250kph. Unreal!!
  20. I have noticed in a few threads people with vr6's have one way valves in their 'rocker breather pipes'. Mine doesn't have one. Should I be concerned about it?? Rather alot of oil seems to come out and spray onto the inlet pipe and then onto the throttle butterfly. I only cleaned the inlet pipe out the other day and it was dirty again this monring. No wonder these things use so much oil!!! :? Is there anyway I can reduce this, or is it, just the way it is?? cheers timo
  21. no they have them on all of them. Hans get with the program man!! :) timo

    Using carb. cleaner

   I have a grin on my face from ear to ear. I now know why I bought a vr6. Blimey they are fast when they are on song. Took all the air intake and stuff apart, cleaned, sprayed throttle body put back together and ran for a we while. I also managed to spray the carb. cleaner whilst the engine was running. I used the crank case breather pipe. Worked a treat. Job done, i am well happy now cheers for the help Simon

    Using carb. cleaner

I'll give that a shot. Just cleaned connections on HT leads and spark plug and took car for a spin. acceleration was fine, but a few days must pass before I'm convinced that that has sorted it. Still gone clean the thottle body though. Dont think I'l spray the MAF. cheers Simon
  24. Been having lumpy acceleration, near stalling all the time whether car is hot or cold. Read so many threads on it. Decided must be ISV (hopefully). So I got some Wynns Carb cleaner and reading the instructions it says to remove air filter and spray in short bursts (to clean throttle body etc, thought I try that first) whilst the engine is idling. I'm thinking spraying this into the MAF would not be a good idea, so I decided to take that off. Ofcourse the engine dies when you do that. How the smeg am I supposed to do it then?? without the engine cutting out. Will it start and run if I take the MAF sensor of first. Thought about using the rocker cover breather hose and spraying it in there to bypass the MAF. Would it be alright to try that. Any help would be great. cheers Simon
  25. How do you watch it. Do you have to register on the site. I been to the page but I cant click on 'Corrado Bi Turbo'. No wee hand appears over it. ta timo
