  1. Love this thing! Fantastic work! Best part is the attention to detail and the second best part is that it might have otherwise been a scrapped car.

I can only hope to come close to this level of detail.

Anything special being done to the gearbox? If it's off getting a rebuild would you consider an LSD to make the driving experience a tiny bit more special?

  2. Standard hose John, the roughly U shaped one that curls from the end of the fuel rail up to the solenoid(leaking from the solenoid end). Will retighten it just to get it home. Which is literally about a minute drive from where I parked her.

Yes I've always been concerned about the potential of lifting the bonnet and hence the added oxygen adding to the potential flame.

Where can I find more info on your FEV kits?

  3. Cheers John, much appreciated. I've never been able to get a copy of Etka myself.

I just read up on your build yesterday and am mighty envious of your skills and Corrado. Would love to do the same/similar over here. It's a shame Jay had to go back to the UK, in fact my Corrado used to be one of his.

I have already replaced the two hoses on the other end of the head. ECS stocked them.

  4. I decided to drive the G60 to work this morning. Around 40 mins ago actually. Luckily I live close to work.

Half way to work strong fuel smell! Pulled over and she was smoking. Think I stopped just in time. I had the fire extinguisher at the ready. This time it is the fuel hose at the gearbox end of the head. Had to park it up and walk home and drive my Toyota to work :p Will fix it on the way home tonight.

My heart was racing at the prospect of losing it to fire. I really need to come up with a permanent solution to these potential fuel leaks. Maybe 16v G60 is the only way to ensure the fuel is far enough away from the exhaust haha.
