  1. Hi Guys and Gals,

     

    I have just installed all the components of a performance kit for my G60.

     

    K&N panel filter

    New leads and plugs

    Schrick Asymetric cam(and new lifters) Think its 268/276.

    68mm pulley

    Chip

    I haven't put in the 3.5Bar FPR yet but will soon.

     

    I'm fairly sure I installed everything correctly. But now the car has very little to no torque below 3000RPM. Is smooth though. Just no torque.

     

    Wondering if I have put the cam a tooth out or if it needs to be fitted with an adjustable cam timing gear?

     

    I can't imagine the cam(unless I've stuffed up the timing) and smaller pulley would cause this drastic loss of bottom end power.

     

    Any help or advice would be great.

    I've had this sitting around for years.

    Am wondering if I can swap the standard oil filter arm for this and use it instead of a regular sandwich plate for feeding an oil cooler?

    PS looks as though it has the same electrical attachments and looks like it will physically fit.


  3. Hello all,

     

    I have been getting a strange axle tramp feeling when letting the clutch out in 1st.

    I thought it was the engine mounts, and the front mount was buggered but have replaced them all, but the problem is still there.

     

    Feels like the whole exhaust is about to fall off if I try to take off quick.

     

    Any ideas what the problem might be?

    Wondering if anyone knows of a factory popper switch from any dub(around the era) that would fit into one of the blanks of a early style interior.

     

    Would like to rig up a secret push button starter by using a factory popper switch.

     

    I'd like to do the same in my mk2 using a power aerial popper switch if I can find one.

    I did try doing a search for info but sadly haven't found much yet.....

     

     

    Wondering if people can recommend some options for:

     

    #Charger rebuilds and porting etc

     

    #Chip/pulley/cams/injectors/map sensors etc

     

    I heard G-werks went out of business a few years ago?

     

    Soooo my options are:

    Jabbasport(for everything)

    SNS(chip and map sensor options)

    Bahn brenner(kits)

    Bar Tek

    ORZ??(know nothing about them)

     

     

    Can anyone give me any advice? Am wanting to stay with the G-Lader and at the moment it's completely standard.


  6. So my 91 G60 was....fitted with a piranha alarm. But since I've owned it was always turned off.

     

    Working in the bay today, I knocked the unit and it literally broke into two pieces.... Tracing some of the wires back toward they battery it was clear they weren't connected to anything... Obviously there are a lot more wires that went through the firewall.....

     

    So clever me thought not much of it and decided to cut the unit out.....

    Result...

    And the car won't start....

     

    Does anyone have any idea what I can connect to get her going again??


  7. So after a 20 min drive home in traffic tonight, (similar temp to last night) and then left her running in the drive way another 10 mins....I couldn't get the oil above 96 degrees.....

    Haha why won't it overheat when I want it too......the second I am out and about, in a vulnerable position, I bet it'll start to scare me....

     

    PS I couldn't even get it hot enough to get the fan going stage two....well I don't think...
