  1. Owners comments on the car.... Car was built as a street car. But we'll drag it too. kept interior rather stock, not gutted. Car should, in theory, handle very well. Yes, the fastest cars in the world are mid-engine rwd. It's also independent rear suspension compared to the stock rears, which should be a lot nicer. Weight upfront won't be a problem. Thing is heavy as hell, and yes, the coilovers are setup with custom springs according to weight distribution. Does the front sit up high in the pics? Car is no lighter up front than the Porsche. Haven't spent a lot of time on it lately, been busy with other things. Yes there will be a firewall and wheelwells, but that's one of the last things to be done. The cage will be finished as well, but as we're working on it, it's best to keep it as open as possible. Don't want to have to be climbing all over things.
  2. ha ha, if that is your car, nice one! there is going to be another meet up in Stirling at some point again. dunno the details tho.... :?
  3. Lets just see what you say, AFTER you have the work done   i'm no dissing, it sounds like a bargain m8.
  4. vr6paul, No, fair enough mate. public forum, evryones entitled and all that... I just enhanced your point encase anyone els took it wrong. if i do some very illegal things in my car, i dont tend to boast about it in its own thread. Personally i prefer the "Who can piss highest up the wall?":lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
  5. aahhhhh.......... i see it, crafty  Wouldnt it of been easier to put a slight bend in the pipe and put the washer bottle, back in the same place? When you say under the wing? is it easy enough to get at?
  6. vr6paul, Nice point. These cars are designed to go round corners just as well. They have performance engines, to get where they go quicker, and they go as fast as they do because they are long geared for comfort for motorway cruising. just cause they can go that fast, dont mean you have to. Personally, i'd be a liar if i said i dont speed. i aint preaching, just showing others opinion, before everyone gangs up on one another.
  7. StirlingStorm, Cheers bud. that would be nice. feel free to send the pre mods one, i feels t makes people appreciate your work alot more. if you dont want to post, em, mail em? if you dont want anyone else tos ee em, fair enough :D  Not fancy going full on with the storm then? Why/when did you move to Stirling, if you dont mind me asking?
  8. VR6, Cause if the police ever read a thread like this, then posting your speeds on a public forum could be used in court etc.... i know its extreme, but its just one of those things i guess, like blanking number plates in pics. etc...
  9. hmmm, sounds like the lorry driver that pulled in front of my Brother the other day.... Pity he was on a motorbike at the time, which funnily enough, is wrote off too... Damage looks nasty there. :( I feel for ya bud.
  10. Your cars lookin good James!!! Im probably going that low, but only for inters! I love Black G60's. :D
  11. 20v turbo, Nice lookin install there!!! and maybe im being dumb here but.... Where is your power sterin bottle and the washer bottle? :?
  12. Hi StirlingStorm, Im sorry to read this thread. i bet you never expected this from like you say, a friendly thread about a dash mod!!! especially from a Moderator of the forum, but im guessing he'll be back to hopefuly apologise later on. Personally, though not really the tidiest thing on the roads (up close - and hey, who's is?), i still like your ex rado. colour is nice, makes you look twice and the wheels are the dogz. It may of been a write of, but it doesnt mean its bad. i have seen aLOT worse make it back on the roads in dealers forecourts that no one would think twice about. This Forum is generally a nice place to talk to like minded folk about the car you drive. so read away and see if anything helps you along,a and share any knowledge you have, as after the Blue 16v, bet you have a few stories   Welcome to the forum, enjoy your stay! :D  :D Got any more pics of the 16v after it was finished?
  13. You can do whatever you want mate, but if you want to know how to take of the gear knob, then remember. it aint no Fiat... the knob unscrews, but first un-clip the panel that attaches to the gaiter. un screw the knob. the gear knob is attached to the gaitor by clipping in to a brass ring. this can be pulled away. Wht i did with my new gear knob, was to remove the brass ring from the gaitor, the fit to the car again. fit the gear knob with out the bottom screw on sleeve. take the base of the gaitor, and pull it over the gear knob, then tighten it upwith some insulation tape, then pull the gaiter back down again and fit. IMO this is one of the neater ways to do it and it saves the need to buy a new gaitor too :) HTH
  14. i love that car too!
  15. well i want one...

    WOT no Haynes?

allstaruk, blimey, You've learned alot in your short stay here! You'll have to get a Corrado now
  17. Hmmm...... What can you say? too much sometimes it seems  So your saying that cause Beavis only has 61 posts on a CORRADO Forum, you know more than he does? Im Guessing the Guy has 61 posts cause he drives a Polo G40 and Spends more time working on engine stuff at Pit Stop Developments than to be fu*king about on a Corrado forum. Fair enough, a lot of people dont know enough about NOS, but get a grip.
  18. How much brake fluid? it is at the max? could be faulty handbrake switch :? Cant help you with the starting probs, sorry
  19. well, defo werent me, i drive the works dub(ish) durung the day :(
  20. oh, and heres there MKI.... http://dsp.fr.st.free.fr/en/car/g1speed.htm
  21. I dont like the DSP front ends personally, but other individual things look good. just not sure if it all.... works :? Might look better when its finished. Too much like there MKI, which i think worked better... Their MKII golf was better too, that was REALLY nice. I hate the cut down windscreen tho. at least the amount they cut it. Id be interested to see what happens with the 'hood' on the rear.
  22. id definatly have the interior, mid engine set up, and wheels with brakes. but bin the rest.
  23. But wouldn't i be right in saying that an S3 has 225bhp wilst a Leon only actually has 180. 10 LESS than a Standard VR.
  24. Anyone sen this horrific looking thing yet? sooooooo much cash sooooooo wrong :(
  25. TexasCorradoVR6, Stick some 205 side tires on them then slap em on your ride
