  1. I would recommend this http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21687 I have seen the car close up and know it has been looked after, plus it is very low mls!!! I am pretty sure the STORM will hold its value better that other Corrado’s including a similar VR6. You can get better spec VR6's than the STORM i.e.: air con. Having owned a Corrado for 18 months now, my experience has been great, IMHO the Corrado like most VW's do not have any big problems, just a POO POO load of small things like: Headlights - what a joke! I can see more smoking a ciggy! Sunroof - Pants! From what I know the motor is rubbish and dies (mine has) Door handles – Not too bad but feel like they will come off in your hands! Wipers – Get used to not being able to see where you are going in the rain! All these issues and more are fixed fairly easily and you will find LOTS of knowledge on this forum about how to go about changing said items. For all its bad points, its well worth it, I can recommend the corrado enough, although without this forum I like many other people would be lost! That’s my advice and ass licking done!
  2. Yes i know this has been covered many times in the past but ti thought it was time to open this up again, i have been a member on this forum for some time now and i can safely say the prices of the Corrado have gone UP in that time! Its not just the forum either, lso on auto trader i have seen a sizeable increase in prices for good quality C's!! Any thoughts guys? do you think prices will keep going up or.........................? IMHO its a sellers market!
  3. OHHH dear, well at least the blanked out the number plate! i would take it as a compliment!!!!! it would have been noce to have been asked though!!!
  4. The laws that apply to your home, the reasonable force one, does that work with cars too?? you could agrue that you live in your car maybe?? lol i will do anything to hit a car theif!!!

  6. Yeah i have always loved that picture, i think i have it in a PDF somewhere, was thinking of getting it blown up and framing it at some point! Be interesting to know where the car is now.................. well not very interesting really.
  7. My MPG is Av between 22 - 26 MPG thats a mix of town and motorway but mostly town If i rag the car i can see 14MPG worth noting, i drove from Birmingham (M6/M1) yesterday to Northampton aprox 55 miles, drove at between 55/60 MPH and seen a return of 33.2MPG. For a 10 yeah old 2.9Ltr car i think thats great!
  8. Glad to hear nothing happened bally, I am thinking you were very lucky, if they came up to you it would suggest to me they were going to take the car there and then, something may have spooked them and to be honest you don’t really come across as a victim, so they prob sh1t themselves! I agree with saying they would have to kill me to take my car!
  9. Some of you will want to lynch me for doing this, my excuse is it’s a Sunday and I am bored! Could have made it look more real but it was boring me! Oh and if this is your car i am also sorry
  10. When I was younger I always remember “Q” plates, now correct me if im wrong but where these no for writeoffs and imports? Fell free to correct me if im wrong! All I want to know is what happened to them? Is it a case of now that the cars in question just get a normal plate? I don’t really have any need to know this but it will bug me if I don’t!
  11. My brother, before he got married, did not have a permet to park on his street, needless to say he god a shed load of tickets, refused to pay them, ended up having to pay £1500 in total, if not more, all to park on the road he lives on with his taxed car, its not as if his road is all that busy! anyway he chased one of the wardens with a hammer, didnt get tickets for a few weeks after that.
  12. Mate dont worry about it, no body was kiled and you clearly have better things to worry about than some sill women who cant drive! not your fault one bit, i would have pi55ed myself, but im just evil!
  13. I wonder how much BHP and speed they put out to scale!!
  14. SHOCKING!!!!! if anyone seen this tonight i think we all knew what went on but this just makes it all clear! having been a victem myself of parking twats, this just makes me more angry!
  15. What job do you do? I think drug testing it OTT unless your flying or driving or something of that sort. BUT if you just paper moving in an office!!!!!! Now that takes the pi55
  16. Oh course they are at fault, they saw a quick buck form a woman driver! £350 for a service on that car sounds very steep IMO, correct me if thats the going price! i would demand a full refund and take the car somewhere different! failing that, burn th place dont! that would teach um! glad no one was hurt mate!
  17. Time traveler? Some people do say the corrado looks like the DeLorean.
  18. 1/4 tank of tesco super, 3/4 Shellp Opti gave me the best!!!!! There is always one aint there! sorry
  19. Great cars, good friend of mine has one, he has not had many big problems, although he has had some. The Mk4 had a big problem with its windows just dropping down into the door, it happened twice to my friend, cost him a fair bit to put right too but its more the fact you have to leave the car with the window open in efect. They also have problems with the air con in some form that i dont remember but the fact of the matter is they wouldnt have sold so well if they were a crock of poo!
  20. Its a "parking light" most Vw's have it. TomB - I dont think we want to know what you have been up to in the countryside in darkness! lol
  21. Ok this has some points i am sur we will fight over, reliability being one, looking best in dark colours the other! But its good to see the car is still loved 10 years after its "death", although we always kne old Hammond liked the rado!
  22. Richard Hammond (top gear) has a review of what he calls the best 6 "Super Coupe's" Fiat coupe 406 coupe Alfa GTV BMW 3 series coupe Hyundai Coupe HE gives a review of each but i wont bother! "Crazy about the corrado" Vw CORRADO Prices: £2500-£6000 "fifteen years after first appearing, the VW Corrado still stands out as a very cool car. It looks mean and moody and is best in dark colours. There are many reasons to consider it - VW reliability, a platform based on the MK 2 Golf and engines including a 2l 8v and more sprightly 2l 16v and a fabulous 2.9l V6 The supercharged G60 is very exciting but the supercharger must be overhauled every 60k miles, so chech that service history.
