  1. £65 delivered (next day courier). Or you can collect for £60.
  2. **SOLD** Hello all. Ive not had this long, was only in my Corrado for a month before it was written off by a numpty in a Range Rover! Its in as new condition, not a mark on it, and comes boxed with all the cables, bits and pieces etc. Its a mechless head unit, so no CD mechanism, but is Ipod/USB ready and comes with the cables so you can run them into the glovebox or cubby hole behind the gear stick and control the Ipod/USB device from the head unit. Perfect for the Corrado as the green lit buttons match the green backlit switches in the rado. No pics of it in the car but it looked great! for general spec/info see here: http://www.alpine-europe.com/p/Products/digital-media-receiver21/ida-x311 http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/12825.html Price - £80 delivered Pics...

  6. Milton Keynes at about 7.30pm tonight - out for a jog and a dark coloured VR6 passed me going over the Kingston roundabout and then booted it down the V11 towards Kents Hill. Heard the VR induction roar a mile away! Amazing how the sound stood out over the general humdrum traffic. Bloody brilliant!
  7. Yep, concur. Exactly what I'd be jumping on if I diddnt already own one.

    ...........

Sorry to hear this, and hope you stick with it and manage to get it sorted. My Mk2 was nicked just before Xmas. Caused a bit of a headache as they abandoned the car on a double yellow so it ended up in brent car pound and cost me £300 to get it out of there! They broke a window and have made a real mess of the steering column and the wiring. Column has twisted almost 60 degrees when they broke the steering lock. Part of me wanted to give up and sell/break the car, but then I dont really want the scumbags to win. Decided to fix it in the end. Second hand parts have all been really cheap, and its mainly just my time I need to give up to fix it and its also an opportunity to learn a few things. Chin up matey, plently of support for you on this here forum. Oh and get yourself a stoplock as well as a Cat 1. I got a hardly used one of ebay for £10, massive bright yellow thing. Gate-horse-bolted etc, but its a great visual deterrant and should greatly reduce the chance of it happening again.
  9. Hello and welcome. Im in MK some of the time too, stick some pics of your VR up and il keep an eye out for you! Stealth are just up the road (sort of) in Southam. Definately worth paying them a visit.
  10. I am interested in this if it goes ahead. Keep me updated. Cheers.
  11. Impreza. Classic Imprezas are dirt cheap at the moment, and a wagon would be practical. I had one for a few years, was awesome in the snow.
  12. Welcome! I went for one that needed bits and pieces sorting out too. Gives me something to do, and il know when it's sorted it really will be properly sorted. Odd really, as I would always advise someone to spend extra and get a good one to start with!?
  13. I'm interested in some of these! Mine are looking pretty crispy.
  14. Are they an 8J? If so then you would have about an extra half inch clearance as the mini comps are 7J. Should be plenty id have thought.
  15. Not been on the car long as only finished refurbing them a few weeks ago, so not had a full car yet. They replaced some 17" OZs which had the same offset but were a wider wheel and there was no rubbage with 4 people in the car, and I have even more clearance now with the 16s. What offset are the 17" comps you have on at the mo? Do they rub?
  16. Im running these at the mo, 205/45 16 and im lowered about 40mm (i think). No rubbing at all. I'll take some pics tonight.
  17. Nice rado! And nice plates! Any attention from the cops from running those? I know you can get legal pressed plates but i thought they had to use a standard font/typeface.
  18. Hi All. im just collecting parts for upgrading my front discs to 288mm. Now I know that all post 95 mk3 GTIs used 288mm discs, but what years did the mk3 golf VR use 288mm discs? And is it the same system as used on the GTI?
  19. Cool! Yep, Guilders Selby, delivery date was 24/08/95. Im in the process of refurbing some 16" speedelines so they will be going on as soon as ive done that. So il be selling the OZs if anyone's interested??
  20. Im driving up to shropshire later tonight (from bucks) on some nice empty roads, only picked up my new corrado on wednesday, so first proper blast in it. I am literally trembling with excitement. In fact, im not waiting any longer, im going now. Have a good weekend folks!

    Help

OMG, WTF, LOL etc etc etc..........
  22. Picked up my new VR last night. Chuffed to bits with it. Had the obligatory 'drive home with massive grin on face' . Car drove faultessly, engine very smooth with the temp sitting between 102 and 110. Only problem was the NS wheel caught on the arches once or twice on a few dips on the motorway, so the coilies will be raised a bit this weekend. Crap iphone pics... 101K with FSH and stacks of invoices, supplied by Gilders VW in North Yorkshire and then pretty much spend most of its life down in Herts and then Surrey, and then to West Sussex where I picked it up from last night. Engine is completely stock, with the only mods being the coilovers and the 17" oz canyons (ive got the speedlines too). Bodywork is very straight and paintwork looks awesome (needs a clean though), apart from a tiny bit of surface rust at the bottom of one of the arches that il get sorted soon. Initial plans are: 1. Completely overhaul all suspension parts/mounts/bushes etc, it handles well but I know that everything under there apart from the coilies will be reaching the end of their service life. Looks like it needs new discs all round too. 2. ABS light on - vagcom showing brake position sensor so start by changing that (DG) 3. Change the wheels as personally I think the 17s are a bit too big and the offset a bit low (although they are growing on me), I've got some 16" audi speedines at the back of the garage somwhere that will do for now. 4. Sort the bit of rust on the arch and patch up the underseal Lots of future plans but priority at the moment is getting it tip-top mechanically. Im pretty sure this forum will get loads of use.
