Nice one, I'll take a look. Thanks for the quick reply :)

OK, thanks for that. Do you access it from the engine bay side of the bumper or externally e.g under the fog lights on front bumper?
-
I have a fully functioning MFA showing the time, oil temp, ave MPG, trip time....but no outside temperature?! I'm fairly certain that my other Corrado 16v and VR6's have all shown external temp so I can't understand why this one doesn't? It's a 95 VR6... Any obvious areas to check or please let me know if it doesn't have the external temp on this model's MFA computer. Cheers

I replaced both the rear side / brake light bulbs and problem cured!! Glad it was a nice and simple fix. Thanks for the advice!

I've been getting a few issues recently with what seems like a bad earth, I think... Sometimes, when I brake the indicator lights will start to light up on the dashboard. Also, when I indicate left sometimes the left indicator will stop flashing consistently. Any thoughts / ideas on what to check? Cheers

Breaking corrado vr6 1994 dragon green
vw.classics replied to Mark261288's topic in Cars for Breaking
Just out of interest, why are you breaking this? From the photos it looks too good to be broken...? -
Just sent you a PM....Cheers
-
Still looking....any chance of a pic???
-
Thanks dg for the pics, they're the right colour but I was hoping to find a drivers side mirror in slightly better condition if possible...however, if I don't then I'll definitely come back to you for your one. Wesley VR6 - do you have a couple of pics of the drivers side you can send me? Cheers

Drivers side wing mirror needed for my 95 Blackberry metallic VR6. Ideally need complete unit with glass thanks to white van man who seemed to think it's OK to drive on other side of road down a country lane in Surrey!

Anyone know part no for relay no.4? My car is currently still with the garage so I can't check it myself. Cheers
-
Any pointers on where the ISV is located and how to remove / clean would be appreciated :)
-
Thanks....looks like "relay no.4" was the hot starting issue on harry's car. Worth a go...anyone know where to get hold of one?
-
Hmm...This may also explain some of the "lumpy" idle issues I'm having too... Worth trying injector cleaner additive in the fuel?
-
Not sure this would explain why there is no issue starting from cold...only happens when engine is fully up to temp. I heard this was a fairly common issue with VR6's so would be keen to hear from anyone else who has had similar issues and managed to sort? Cheers
-
Thanks for your reply but there are no fault codes currently showing on diagnostics.
-
Does anyone know what could cause issues with starting the VR6 after a long run / when the engine is warm? It fires quick and easy from cold, but takes a long time to fire when the engine is hot. I've just fitted a new coil pack and fitted new sparks and HT leads so not sure what could be causing this??? Any advice / comments appreciated. Cheers
-
Hi Dave, how much for the MAF posted please (to Surrey)? Cheers
-
I haven't tried changing the fuel filter yet....so will give it a go to rule it out. Thanks for the heads up. I had a replacement coil pack fitted last week and it does seem a lot better...but still runs VERY lumpy on start up from cold, albeit less juddery under load and lower revs now so I think it has helped. It is very difficult sometimes to start after a long run / when the engine is warm. Does the issue with difficult hot starting sound like it could also be related to fuel filter or electrical?
-
Sorry, my Satin silver 16V was collected last week and has gone to a good home now.
-
Thanks for that - any pointers on "how to" remove the MAF and coil pack would be appreciated... Cheers
-
Thanks for the offer mate - I mate take you up on the offer. Is it easy to swap over and fit? Don't suppose you have a spare coil pack that I could try and swap over / test also? I've heard that despite the usual tests it may still be worth trying a different coil pack too. Cheers

Thanks for this - very helpful. Just managed to source a decent 2nd hand one from a forum member :)

Thanks guys - just double checked the MAF with the garage and apparently there was a significant change and the revs did drop when the unplugged the MAF. Any ideas on what next to check as it seems the MAF is not the issue? Cheers
