Thats **** mate sorry to hear about the theiving but fair play to crack on and get it finished!! look forward to seeing the finished product after reading the thread! -
I have managed to shear off the 'nut' part of the bolt that you can adjust the bonnet cable with so i'm after a whole new unit if anyone has one lying around! Thanks!
-
I think i'm right in saying that my valver was 135 bhp standard but after 20 years its bound to have lost some? Going to get it tested after the mot out of curiousity. But I'm also interested in what BHP other people are running? and what performance modifications required to acheive them if you don't mind!!

Thanks mate! Got most of the stuff done that i want to do, the only big thing left to do is a respray but other than that its going to be little gradual bits to smarten it up as i go. Got them from a BMW e30 had to shorten them to fit in the bumper though. Cheers, came out better than i thought they would but they show off the tired looking calipers which will need to be sorted now they're on show lol. Think it may be the pic as they're 205/45/16. UPDATE: Fitted a new bonnet last week (Thanks Rod) and also managed to fit my bonnet lifter! Definately a lazy mans modification though its alot less hassle to open and shut the bonnet! Small touch too but i removed the wiper arms sanded them down and sprayed them gloss black as they had lots of chips on them, fitted with some nice new aero wiper blades. Also the Corrado has been taken into a friends garage to have a few bits done which i cant do on my driveway! -New exhaust manifold fitted -New expansion tank fitted -Timing checked -Horn fixed -Power steering fluid changed -Goodridge Braided Brake hoses fitted And most importantly its MOT!!!!

Thanks for the replys, i just went and fitted a bonnet lifter instead!
-
That steering wheel is the nuts! In fact the whole car is unbelievable!
-
I'm sure it would if you fit it like i did(above) I'm only after £18 delivered? That looks spot on! Think i'll invest in one of them soon then! No worries bud, when you get some dosh give me a shout as i may still have it!
-
Ebay mate, i've got an extra one if you're interested?
-
Thanks bud, how much smaller than the original is it? Managed to un-hook the old bottle and just rest it in a lower location which is allowing the bonnet to close! Not sure if i can secure it there though?
-
Sounds Good! I'm leaning towards having the smaller bottle but do i need to get one with a pump etc? Be interested to see the pics, thanks for the help!
-
The problem i have is that i have just fitted a single bonnet lifter, the bonnet lifter works perfectly but the only problem is the bonnet won't shut completely due to the washer bottle being too big and therefore slightly in the way! Has anyone ever replaced it with a smaller one? Or moved/Relocated it? Any suggestions welcome, i'll stick some pics up soon. Thanks.

Has anyone got a set of braided metal brake hoses for a 1990 1.8l 16v they'd like to sell? Thanks.

The shields that sit just behind the brake discs on my valver are rusted to f##k, does anyone have any in decent nick or know where to get hold of any, i've searched with no luck so far, managed to find some vr6 ones but guessing they wont fit a 4 stud??? Thanks.

Yeh fair shout actually, i'll pop in when i get a chance and see if the vw monkeys can find the part for me :)

I'm after a replacement clip that the bonnet stay rests on while it is not in use if anyone has one. Thanks.

Took me a while to get all 4 wheels sorted as i had to wait for 25mm spacers to be delivered for the rear wheels ;) Really happy with how its looking now though! not sure whether to space the fronts out a bit or not though ?? Also sorted myself out a mk3 golf glass sunroof! pics below, next on the to do list is to get a parcel shelf, get the new exhaust manifold fitted, get some braided break hoses and bleed the breaks and then as soon as the runaround is sold i can tax and insure the C! NEW SUNROOF SPACERS MUCH BETTER LOOKING NEARLY THERE (JUST NEED RESPRAY AS SOON AS THE PENNIES HAVE BUILT UP) Feedback welcome!
