  1. £2700 Whatever the price its a cracking motor
  2. In December 2008 i bought a non running car off my one of my best mates brothers with a view to sell it on or keep it as runabout. We didnt fill out the log book as we knew each other and i didnt want to add another owner if i was to sell it on. I bought the car and taxed it before it was recovered back to mine. The tax ran out on 31/05/09 after which i subsequently SORNED it as it was never fixed, date of renewing SORN was 01/06/2010. I decided not to repair the car but to sell it on as scrap. The dealer who bought it filled out yellow slip and took remainder of log book and the yellow slip sent off to DVLA by me. July 2010 Registered keeper (mates brother) gets letters from DVLA threatning to fine him for untaxed vehicle. We both send correspondance to DVLA telling them i had car from Dec 2008 and it was sold in Jan 2010 given name and address of company who bought it, sent them email, fax and letters of this issue. DVLA saying they have no record of this and have passed this fine to the debt recovery company who threaten the previous registered keeper. Now im being chased by my friends brother saying i am responsible for the fine and the blame lies with me as i didnt follow the correct procedures and is passing on my details to DVLA the debt collection agency etc. I offered to halfs on the fine with him although its neither of our faults that DVLA didnt recieve the yellow slip or they didnt bother to take his details off the vehicle. Any advice would be appreciated
  3. Seat Leon 170 tdi FR not as common as the golf, looks the business and economical too.
  4. Its a pretty decent car and it came very handy but i no longer needed it so advertised it on friday night and sold it this morning, put it up for £1500 got 1350 for it.....and thats after a trip to south of france!
  5. nice find Kad! That red one does look nice, shame about the autobox, i thought all sport spec came with the silver trim not the wood.
  6. I think hunt on ebay and ebay.de i've seen 18 parallels go for 400-1000 depends on what people think they are worth. IIRC they are come on 7 series sport models so there may be some breaking. 530d Sport is a very sought after car (especially black on black) it may take time to locate one, if its definately the model your after i'll keep an eye out for ones for sale as a friend works in BMW dealership.
  7. are the post 99 3.0 diesel common rail injection or were all 530d common rail injection?
  8. I find the e39 is definately one of the best cars i've driven and the m sport version still hold their value better than the SE versions. The e46 is a little tight for space but thats my personal opinion. For you budget you could pick up a relatively low mileage (>100k)530d 525d on the e39 facelift, there are many modified SE versions with the Sport Bumpers so only try to get a genuine M Sport. The 525i sport auto (petrol) would do approx 80-100 miles on 20 litres not too sure about other models.
  9. i wouldn't ever buy a car from Birmingham most of them are cat c cat d, in my experience.
  10. Yup was a good race suprising what a little bit of water can do  Well done Hamilton, Webber & Kubica!
  11. House....because i dont see the interest rates staying this low for much longer. Car you can always remortgage and get if you really want to.
  12. Would like one of these in Diesel of course
  13. I'm sorry to hear about your loss, how did you find out the guy who bought them had a T4? how did the seller come across them? To be honest i wouldn't be suprised if they have been exported by now, alot of this stuff going on around East London sides however i'll keep an eye out.
  14. It was looking good, the BBS stood out from the viaduct!
  15. Tuesday 3rd Aug Blackberry Corrado with Shiny BBS gleaming in the sunlight....George Lane E18 outside KFC looking good think the last 3 digits were **** UBM
  16. I think he's ok and he did the piece on the Corrado VR6 being a future classic so cut him some slack!
  17. He was to busy throwing his toys out the pram over the drive through penalty.
  18. Im gutted for Hamilton retiring. I'd rather see Webber above in the Championship than Vettel, the frustration of having a slow car must be getting to Shuey that was one stupid move but makes it more fun to watch. Button should've tried to overtake more, he was beaten by Delarosa for god sake. I think at the Silverstone race one kid asked Eddie Jordan where he buys his clothes from! Next race should be good, hopefully.
  19. nothing i dont get the time to work on it, too busy with work and family. Did you get a break down for the bill, it seems a bit excessive for the work you mentioned even if they did make the brake pipes and stuff, engine rebuilds normally would come to that amount of monies.
  20. Can forget Sukhs blue SLC, i think the German silver VR6T was a friend of his but IIRC it was on RS4 rims at Edition 38. Any one remember one of the Max Power staff cars...i know sad that i read that but it was a long time ago!
  21. Gutted for you mate, this happened to me a few years ago. I hope these c**ts die a slow and painful death! Any damage to steering cowling or column? I think a replacement door and an alarm is the only option foward unless you know a good bodyshop.
  22. Looking Good! 8) should start a new thread, the 16v should have it own identity!
  23. I can mostly remember recent Corrados Ballys Furkhs A20 LEE The black one with screw charger and flushed front bumper around 2003 A Green one with Azevs of some type back in 2002 Nick Micouris's Corrado features as top gear modern classic
  24. Yeah thats the one, makes me feel old thinking i was getting into veedubs 13/14 years ago!
