  1. Yeah that belongs to a guy called Alan, a friend of mine. He's on the forum too dont know his username though.
  2. just about to say that, there a large pipe and half of a smaller pipe fused onto it. I'd like to see something new something which hasn't been seen before like the magnex triangular pipe.
  3. has everything been checked over in the alternator region, connections etc. Have you checked for a spark using the ht leads, the plug on the distributor, knock sensor wiring, though dont think it would cause this problem.
  4. Did you carry out any work before this problem started to occur more frequently? Could be something was disturbed whilst refitting the charger chip etc
  5. yep well, it takes time to get an ass so phat!!
  6. Yesturday on the M25 a/clockwise White G reg g60 IIRC looked mint had in-pro lights and grey alloys turned off at the A21 towards Bromley

  10. what sort of weather was it at the time? Bad electrical connections can be agrevated in cold moist weather.
  11. Sorry to hear about it Darren, best thing to do would be to get copies of the service invoices from the dealer/dealers. Alot of Passats are company owned so they do get scheduled maintenance done as required. If i were in your shoes i'd phone up VAG customer services and say you bought the vehicle beleiving it had the cambelt changed and try to get some goodwill for the parts and if possible labour too.
  12. Saw a nice dark M reg VR6 some roundabout in Camberely this afternoon. Looked nice and had aftermarket 17s could be Biggerbigneil but not sure. I was in a Land Rover trying to get a closer look!
  13. To be honest i would risk leaving it, maybe all the coolant has leaked from that particular area. I dont know how the water to the aux pump is fed so dont want to make any assumptions but get a pressure test carried which will pressurise the coolant and indicate any leaks.
  14. Jim, If your car is a metallic (which i assume it is) then mopping wont be as effective because because the mopping take off a thin layer off the paint, but if you can imagine with metallics only the laquer gets cut not the base coat underneath so the colour of the primer still shows. But however if the scratch stonechips are filled with touch up paint and again gone over with laquer then mopped it would come up very well. It all depends on how badly chipped the bonnet is, sometimes it might be better to bite the bullet and get a respray done.
  15. I think this car was featured in golf extreme magazine quite a few years ago IIRC there was also a MK1 with a rover V8 engine in it.
  16. I think some cars are more dated than ugly, but agreed the Fiat Multipla is hidious! But for me its the latest Nissan Micro looks like a frog on wheel, whereas the Multipla looks like its got a disease!
  17. Tell them not to park in Brighton Race-Course and they wont get bird poop.
  18. Depends what VTEC it is, the imports had more bhp than uk version and if its a twin cam vtec its going to be very nippy. hey are lighter cars, easy to move from a standstill and handle quite well, whereas the corrado would give an advantage on the longer straights and high speed bends as it is more stable.
  19. A friends brother has got an Alfa RZ only seen the coupe version not a convertible before

    VW styling

I find with VW's is the styling might not be up to everyones taste but with a few right mods they can look the part. The Corrado must be one of the only cars with styling that looks the part as standard but even then it looks better modified, still like the look of the mark 2 scirocco with the factory kit on especially in all black or white.
  21. no it doesnt help intereference, i've tried a new and made another wire for the other side still not much difference.
  22. In my opinion having worked with peugeots/citroens i'd avoid them like the plague. Early 206s were ok, but the later ones and 307 have alot of electrical gremlins, especially with the sagem instrument clusters and wiper stalks, so theres always things going wrong. Try to get a newer one within warranty or get an extended warranty on an older vehicle.
  23. I personally dont think so, the radio reception isnt great on the Corrado at the best of times.
  24. its an earth cable, it goes on to the nut that holds the bonnet to the bracket, hth
