Alright, got everything I need to do this conversion (+ rear mk4 calipers) except the damn goodridge hoses. Rang C&R and they didn't seem to have heard of anyone fitting mk4 platform brakes to a corrado. Said they'd ring back, which was last monday. Anyone know where I can get the 6 hose kit from? It is the general mk2>mk4 kit I need not a corrado specific one is it? Or am I going mental? :brickwall: Also, anyone got the correct bolts/spacers for the front callipers they would kindly sell me? Can't be arsed trying to find a bolt shop if anyones got a spare set! Cheers

My old storm did 40 to the gallon on the MFA once, but I cheated and coasted down a big hill to do that...
-
What do you think? 17" BBS RWIIs, wanted BBS wheels but RCs and RXs have been done to death now so thought these would go down well, I think they suit the corrado nicely too, chunky but rounded like the car! Have only seen them on one other car to date and was a hassle getting hold of a brand new set as they don't make them anymore. Had to get them sent from germania specially!

Had a similar problem with mine, changed the leads and plugs and the coilpack (it was cracked anyways though) to no avail. Seemed worst about 1500-2000 rpm, VAG com showed it was the MAF sensor and cam sensor at fault. Could be the temp sensor for the ECU too, best get it to someone who can pull up the error codes thoug, the MAF sensor is 300 odd quid

May need to amend the wiki article dinkus as thats partly the conflicting info I was on about  Yeah I think you're right geo from what I can tell only the V6 4motion golfs have 312mm brakes. I would say that its probably only the S3 and 225 TT will have them in the audi range too, and the top whack skoda jobbie In any case anyone got some 312mm carriers they don't need? I bought the callipers anyways cos they were cheap as!

There;s a 2001 mk4 1.8t in our local scrappy, would these be 288 or 312mm? I seem to have conflicting info on which they are! Cheers

Damn thats a lot, in that case anyone got the two pots off an R32 fitted? they should squeeze under 17s just about...
-
Kev, how much did the APs cost if you don't mind me asking?
-
Damn, cheers for the reply whats the quality of it like? I usually avoid fibreglass stuff but if the fit is ok I may have to go for it. How is it around the ends of the headlights (later spec). Ta!
-
Nope its a seperate debadged grill and eyebrow. The surround is flush with the slats like an OE grill - the reiger ones stick out more.
-
Neil, is that eyebrow spoiler plastic or fibreglass? Have been looking for a plastic one like that for ages. All I could find was the kamei one that is thinner in the middle. Which looks rubbish imo!

What would you do to your C if you won the euromillions?

Drove a Mclaren SLR yesterday, so would probably not be that fussed about corrados if I had 100 squillion quid burning a hole in my pocket to be honest. -
Hang on, my p/n ends in 461 and has the metal case. Did any golf vr6s have them at all?
-
Nice, cheers all. Im pretty sure the ISV off a golf works too, will go and raid that golf in the scrappy tommorow then!
-
Oy, anyone know if a maf sensor from a golf vr6 (coilpack one) is the same as the late corrado one? And the ISV too? Mine have had it :( Ta Jez

Sealant around where exactly? I can't see how they would leak from where the coloured plastic lens are bonded to the chrome bit. Do you mean put extra sealant around where they meet the car?
-
Just got a set of these and would like to clarify a few things: 1. Ive heard they are prone to letting condensation in behind the lenses. I take it they leak around the rubber seal on the back if they do? Was going to stick some butyle tape on there anyways... 2. The bling chrome effect on the edges looks arse! Have started rubbing it off with sand paper. Anyone know where I can get that black textured paint from? Make em look a bit more like the original black surrounds! Cheers Jez

I know its 8 pages long, but its all in there if you read it.

Top to bottom: Oil pressure Ignition live Earth Dash lights Haven't got round to wiring mine up yet, still waiting for the sender but Ive test fitted the panel and it doesn't move around even without being bolted in, although I do plan on doing that. You can get a proper 4 pin jobbie from vw but I was just going to use spade connectors. Having said that though, legend has it that the wiring exists behind the dash and I do remember seeing an unused connector when I pulled my dash to pieces for the heater matrix. May have to see if that is whats its for first...
-
Yeah was gonna try that first but just curious as to how much a new one might cost.
-
Anyone know how hideously expensive a new one is? The ISV that is...
-
I think now it is the ISV thats stuck open as the hissing noise is coming from the box like filter that sits behind it indicating air is flowing through it (its not leaking either, was brand new in august).
-
Yeah, there is a hissing noise coming from around the throttle body to honest. haven't had time to get the plastic cover out the way to see if there's an air leak anywhere yet, will have a look tommorow though...
