I always got things to do, I try and do the more important things first but in reality its the more fun jobs first. Most of the time the newest addition to the fleet gets the attention as your more enthusiastic as its new. I have had the Corrado the longest in my current fleet so it varies how much i play with it. My Mk2 Golf is a long resto event so i don't feel the need to really crack on i a hurry as i want it for next summer. My Mk3 Polo is being sold as i ave no love for that shed haha Just bought a Mk2 Polo and the plan for that is a 1.4 16v conversion from a Mk4 Polo, so im going to ave to buy one of those now to rape its engine haha
-
Very true, my 2nd car is a Mk3 Polo GT i only spent £270 to buy the car and have 12mths MOT, but im paying £550 a year insurance. The bonus has been went the Corrado is getting work i have a backup plan. But i have spent abit on the Polo - About £150 in parts since May. By the end of the year the car probably as cost me £1000 and its a shed on wheels quite frankly. Has it really saved me £1000 on fuel? No. The only pro is that your not as fussed when the Corrado isn't road worthy as your still getting to work to earn the £££££. Oh and i wouldn't cry if i binned the Polo in a ditch over winter!

Sorry forgot to reply, received mine and very happy, cheers!

20-24mpg most of the time. 11mpg on a 15min track session haha

Can i be added to the list, i got a passat switch right now so it would be nice to have a corrado one. -
Oh dear, had the same problem and had to basically prise off the doorcard and unsrew bits when possible, i only ended up with a small tear but its a horrible and long job as your trying to be carefull. Good tip is to put the window down and the seat all the way reclined for more room.

What was number one when your Corrado was new?
mrginge replied to Purple Tom's topic in General Car Chat
The VR6 is a 1994 L so like a lot of you it seems Wet Wet Wet.... My brothers G60: think it a early 1990 which likely to be Sinead O'connor Nothing Compares , but since it was living in the USA at the time Phil Collins - Another Day in Paradise was top of the billboard 100 -
floppyman: Shame you not local thanks though! nrc: Well i can crack on with that simple enough then cheers. wigsvr6: I hope its not a big engine issue, my head is my Grant one (Not second hand without history i purchased it from them) and my bottom end is from a 75k engine and was looked over ALOT before being fitted as my original 180k was worn. coullstar: The head was done and the cams purchased at the same time so i cant really measure how much the head did, together they were a very nice improvement. fishwick: Really then i need to get the spark plugs out to start with. I would take the car back to DG but i got to take a day off work for that so i will probably book it in my towns VW place first. Last time the cam sensor went i dropped from around 225bhp to 192bhp, CazzaVR: The fans are on alot, the thing stays on for ages after i park up. Im glad i got the samco stuff if it really is running that hot though as a split pipes really makes a mess. This is my first car with VAGCOM so i should really make more use of it. I will try and get the plugs out tonight and report back, and take it from there.

Right, i have let the issues build up a little the last few months which probably wasn't the best plan. 1. Oil temp not working on MFA - Never has since i purchased the car. 2. A big loss of power, the engine is so flat, the revs build up smooth and the car sounds normal but the speed has gone. It takes an age to do the traditional 2nd gear 40-60mph acceleration. Had a similar issue before which turned out to be the cam position sensor so it got a new one. Literally my Mk3 Polo GT with 80bhp could keep up with the Corrado up to 80mph easy. I don't even bother overtaking now. MPG hasn't noticeably changed. 3. Coolant runs very hot. Pretty much sits at 110 and doesn't move no matter if your in town of on the motorway. Engine Spec (If it matters??) Grant Motorsport P+P Head, 263 Cams, P+P Intake manifold + Throttle body, 6 branch and Miltek system, DG Autotech map, BMC CDA, Dub power leads. Thanks for any help,

Thanks for the reply but since im not in a huge rush to get one id rather have one with NO filler in it. mike

Hello, As title, not fussed on colour as it will be sprayed. My main issue is rust. If you have one which is rust free and either your local or willing to post i could be interested. Thanks Mike

Its very clean! I spoke to you at the end of Sunday, I had the blue VR near by and my bro has a yellow G60. I still like the model and its paint job! -
There are a LOT of parts linked to the electric seat belts so buying it new bit by bit would be a nightmare. To be honest you could be better off asking on VWVortex if someone in the US wants to trade as there seem to be a lot of yanks who want Euro spec dave
