  1. Cheers. Getting locking nuts for free cause they took a week longer to be delivered. I know the originals will fit but I still find it strange that they wouldn't come with new bolts. They told me it was because they were BBS? Still not convinced!
  2. Hi I've just bought a new set of BBS RX's for my rado from Halfords. They've told me that they don't come with new wheel nuts/bolts and will just use the old fittings. Never bought alloys before so can anyone tell me if this is normal? I thought I would have got a new set of nuts/bolts? Cheers James
  3. Let me think (approx costs): PiperCross Viper induction = £250 Throttle Cable = £25 Lupo Wiper Mod = £25 Rear Discs & Pads (std) = £100 Tar-Ox Discs & Pads (front) = £270 Front Caliper = £50 Milltex Cat Back = £330 16" BBS RX's with Toyo's = £850 That's nearly 2 grand which isn't bad. Due an MOT & service next month so no doubt that'll cost a 'pretty penny'. As said already, dread to think how much has went on petrol!
  4. Cheers for the replies. I'll let you know how I get on with them.
  5. They sure are brake discs. Not drilled, just grooved. I'll try and take some pics once they're on, well unless they look rubbish! Would have liked to go to Knockhill but the "better half" is draging me off to Canada for a week. How unlucky am I!?!? Have a good one though.
  6. Well I guess no-one had an opinion then?!? I couldn't find that much doing a search but I went for the Tarox G88's anyway. Do many of you run these on your rado? Also ordered a Milltek Cat Back while I was at it, all due to go on next week! About time I started pampering my pride and joy! Cheers
  7. Just a quick bit of advice/opinion needed. Pagid 8 groove or Tarox G88? I'm going to order them today so any thoughts are appreciated. Cheers James
  8. That would be me, was in Paris for the weekend. Dunno about the looking good, very dirty!
  9. Yellow G60 (double) parked on Moat St (Edinburgh) last night around 10.30pm? Needed a wash me thinks!
  10. Just did a search for similar problems and it appears that either relay 18 or 99 is for the wipers - anyone know? Really need to get it fixed asap, esp in this weather. Does anyone the part nos, how easy they are to get etc? Cheers again James
  11. Hi Front wipers died on the way to work this morning (in the rain!!). Does anybody know the fuse no and amp size? Cheers James
  12. BK is definitely the best place to meet ,especially if you come in the M8. It's just before the bridge at Ferrymuir Services, you can't miss it. So we'll say 9.15-30am. How many are coming through from the west coast?
  13. Are you Glasgow boys OK for this? Traffic should be fine so it'll only take you 30-40 minutes from the showcase. Or does everyone prefer McDonalds to BK?!?
  14. Does it take you about half an hour from the cinema to the bridge? We could say around 9.15-30am then which will gives us enough time. Just need to decide where. Is there still a Mickey D's before the bridge?
  15. Take it you Glasgow boys are going M8 then over the Forth Road bridge? There's 4 going from Edinburgh I think so if you still want to meet before/after the bridge let us know. We're leaving around 9am from Gorgie.
  16. Make that 4 from Gorgie then, well Slateford is close enough. Why don't we meet in Edinburgh before we leave - Safeway petrol station at the Gyle for 9ish? That should give us enough time to meet the Glasgow boys in Rosyth - do we know where? Probably easier/quicker to take the A92 rather than the coastal road, but I don't mind. Is MKII golf man travelling from Edinburgh? He'll know the best way to go anyway.
  17. Is there a definite meeting place/time for the Edinburgh contingent?
  18. Had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. Think I got a new cable for £25 and got my uncle (mechanic) to fit it. It's like driving a new car, well worth it.

    Wiper Problem

Woody, Try the link below. I fitted mine on Saturday and what a difference, can actually see in the rain now. I went for the the two drivers arms with passenger blade on the drivers side. James http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=153
  20. Chris Wish I did have money to throw away, just put it on the plastic. Have considered a s-charger but just not yet. Might think about it again in the Spring. How much gain did you get from yours? james
  21. Cheers for the excellent advice. It's like driving a whole new car with the new cable! Was cheap as well, only £22.
  22. Went for the Viper which was probably the most pricey out of the three. Should be coming this week so I'll let you know what it's like once i get it fitted.
  23. I used to be at Napier (2 years ago) but don't remember there being a club?
  24. I've only had my Corrado a week (VR6 Storm) and don't know that much about them as yet, although I'm getting there. I noticed when I had a test drive that the throttle was stiff i.e. difficult to push down the juice pedal. The guy told me that it had a damper on it for smoother driving? Anyway, is the a common VR6/Corrado trait or is it just the cable needs looked at/replaced? I'm kind of used to it now but anyone who's driven her finds it difficult to get to grips with. Any help/comments appreciated. Cheers Jay
