Yeah all the pipes were warming up, cant really be anything else but the block can it!
-
It starts doin it when its warm, yesterday when I'd all built up I left it running with the cap off, was fine then put the cap on for a couple ov minutes, it started to harden the pipes so I took it back off and movedthe car outside andthats when it started to spit water out and then take big gulps ov water, the way the pipes were moving it did look like there was a blockage but really cant see anything
-
I know, was thinking that, fearing the worst now! Blocks had alotta work and theres forged pistons in her! Em no how do I check for that and what should I expect to find Thanks
-
So yeah just fitted headgasket to the rado after it was pressurising the water, got head pressure tested and skimmed, all new parts and its still pressurising it, even worse than before, decided to change the water pump and thermostat, still spitting water out the expansion tank, even took the radiator out and it doesn't look blocked or anything, anyone any ideas, do I have to take head off again, cud the block be warped or can anything else make it go like that Thanks Philip

hello all, corrado is finding it hard to start in the mornings or when its cold, be's fine when warm or stopped and started, only does it the 1st time in the morning, in the past couple of months ive changed the fuel filter and blue temp sensor with a genuine vw one! so was sort ruling them 2 things out, also put on a 2nd hand icv, would i be saver changing the icv to see if this is the trouble or does any1 else have any ideas thanks
-
right hello all, the corrado is seriously annoying me at the moment, car never runs right when stopped and started when warm but is fine from cold, so i put a blue temperature sensor on yesterday to cure the slow revving it has been doing, which is now fixed, but since then its not running right all the time, missed like crazy at the start but i changed the spark plug leads and cleaned the top of the plugs, it cured the missing but its still not running right, ive a air/fuel ratio gauge and its flickering from lean to stoch all the time now as before it only done it when started when warm! it stays on lean when ive my foot of the pedal n flickers back up when i put my foot down, beginning to lose patience with it! can anyone please help me
-
have pretty much the same problem, doesnt happen all the time but idle does stick and ive replaced the isv and cleaned it, so might have to try a temp sensor
-
hello all, another spoiler question, spoiler works on switch but not while driving, im in at the fusebox and traced the wires back from the spoiler control box, goes into a loom then out and the blue/black wire splits into 4! 2 of which have green connectoers on the end which arnt connected to anything, where do these go, if anywhere and would this be my problem, meny thanks
-
right hello all, couple of problems here, my g60 has a air/fuel ratio gauge and it runs fine when started from cold but when its stopped and started when warm the gauge flickers from where it should sit to lean all the time and when my foots of the throttle it will stay lean, any help would be great, also the revs r very very slow at coming down and sometimes it stays around 2000rpm, ive had to change isv valve not to long ago but its always done it, the end of the isv has a filter connected to it, would this have anything to do with it, any help would be great, thanks
-
so in work here and put the gas analyser on and its not over the limit no more, was sitting at around 1.50 and i turned it down to 1.00, what should i set it to! also on the day of my mot i had the car out at a boys doing some work and he disconnected the battery and couldnt get it started after and when i went out it was very hard to start, took ages, could hav been flooded, would this have had anything to do with it saying it was running rich! ive a air/fuel ratio gauge on car and it was showing it was fine at mot so dont know why it was so high, but all seems ok now, do i bring it up to mot or do yous guys have any ideas
-
was thinking that, didnt see one on it before so hopefully something on it, thanks
-
thanks pal, thats a great help, will get that done asap,
-
o ok, i had the throttle valve off before and all the pipes seemed ok, ok and how do i do that, what all do i need to do, ive a exhaust gas analyser at work so will be able to get it right with that
-
thanks pal, thats the box jus before the throttle body on that pipe, and how does it adjust can i ask
-
well hello all, over here in northern ireland and was up for the mot, well the co on idle is through the roof, is ther anything on the throttle body to srew it down or anything, or is it a remapping job! any help would be great
-
yeah i took a look and the pipe was on and i tryed following it thru the bulk head and it went into the loom, i musta disturbed something tho because it behaved itself for a day or 2 and then it went back to 4mpg, then has now went back to normal so would that be the pipe kinked or what
