1. To be honest mate i didn't think there are any differences in fitting. http://wiki.the-corrado.net/_indicator_conversion.html They came out of a 1992 G60, and I replaced them with late standard parts. Just for info as well this is the same with the headlights - replaced them with late headlights.
2. In Pro projector headlights and rear lights In Pro projector headlights In Pro (I think) rear lights All in really good condition, no cracks, scuffs or tabs broken. All with covers & bulb holders etc. Rears have a little bit of silver paint flaking but that's it (see pics) Headlights - ?150 Rears - ?50 I might be miles out, but have priced them taking into account how much the replacement oem parts cost. Preferably collection from either Great Dunmow or Wickford, Essex. Or between 19th and 23rd in Preston. Can post but would need abit of time to get cost & packaging! Any questions give me a shout. Pick up preferred as its pretty long. 4. Sorry, yes that me being a thick head! They are 16s Tyres are 195/40/r16 I will update the add. Yeah, I was thinking about coming up this weekend so will be about on Sunday. PM me if you are interested or drop me a message on 07946 792666. If you could let us know sooner rather than later, as if not then I will stay down this way this weekend Thanks!
5. *Price Drop* BBS RS Reps 16" x 8 & 9J BBS RS reps. 16x8J Fronts (ET35 I think), 16x9J (ET25 I think). Will check tonight. 4x100 and 5x100 fitment, with spot rings and can supply wheel bolts too so everything you need. Bought these not long ago with the intention of fitting to my new G60, but there is a long list of things that I should concentrate on/need the money for before I start thinking about shiny things! Will be sad to see them go though! Almost new condition, virtually no marks on them. Tires are Dunlop 195/40/R15 all with loads of tread on them. They require 3mm spacers to fit the fronts. I have just tried fitting again since I renewed the discs and pads, and they catch slightly with the front calipers. Collection preferred from either Essex either Wickford or Great Dunmow. Happy to post for cost, and also would need a bit of time to get packaging together. ? 450ono Let me know if you have any question either on here or 07946 792666 Thanks, Rick! 6. No longer needed, going to try and piece together the lights, and sell off the In-Pros separate.
7. Yep, tried that first (rather hopefully as well). Then followed it up with checking for blocked gutters on the sunroof, and then drain holes in the doors. But were all ok! Then I poured a jug of water on the top corner of the screen, and pretty much all of it ran down the inside of the window! I have taped it up for now, and its a big improvement, also got rid of a lot of wind noise too! Yes Jim, I am still pretty local, I'm down in Dunmow now. If you have a number for him, I will give him a shout. I know deep down it's probably best to get the screen taken out and checked for rust, but if i'm completely honest, I don't think I can stomach the costs and am tempted to just get some sealant and do it myself. I might have a good nosey round it tonight and see if I can see any traces of rust, from what I have seen so far, it looks like the original screen. Like you say though, a bit of advice from a professional would be very beneficial! Thanks guys!
8. Hi mate, are the fogs still available? If so then I'll take them.
9. Hi all, we had a fair bit of rain on Monday and as a result my passengers side carpet is like a swamp. I have had a look arount tonight and discovered the windscreen trim is loose at the top passenger side, and there must be a hole in the sealant underneath, as it is pouring in. I'm looking for opinions on what to do, either: Take it to a windscreen place and get them to re-seal and refit the trim. Or just remove the trim myself (looks in good condition) stick some silicone sealant around the screen to try and seal it, then refit the trim. Ok assuming if I took it to the windscreen place, it's only what they would do too! Has anyone had experience refitting the trim? Do I need a special took? Cheers
10. I have just bought a G60 which has had all the light units converted to In-Pro units, and I'm not sure I'm a fan. So I'm after a set of standard (Late) headlamps and Fogs to swap them over. Judging on what sort of feedback I get, I would consider doing some sort of exchange for the In-Pro units. Let me know what you got. Thanks Rick

12. Had owned my VR6 for 4 years, and a valver before that for another 4 years, so could of possibly been that! Nope that was keeping the policy exactly the same, no change in mileage, or type of cover just a straight swap of vehicle, and the value of the car went from £1500 for the corrado, to £800 for the Merc. Either way I had to go for it, becasue the ammount I would of got back if I'd of cancelled would of made it worse. So I paid it, will be having a good look round come next renewal time though.
13. Yep I know what you mean, I kind of expected a little better from Brentacre though. Going to give them a ring later on and see if I can speak to someone else. I've had this before, where the first person I speak to just seems to want to do their job and get off the phone, whereas I have then rang back and spoken to someone else who is much more helpful. Either way if there is no change, I guess I have to go through with it, won’t be renewing with them though. Cheers guys
14. That’s a really good point that mate. Thanks its completely unfair like, but a good point.
15. I knew getting rid of my Corrado was going to be painfull, but I didnt realise it would be this painfull! Due to a change in circumstances, having to commute alot more than I used to, and not having any space to store it, I'm having to give up the Corrado and move on. So I have bought an old (w202) c-class 220cdi, and have managed to sell the VW (painfull enough) But now I have just rang Brentacre and been told that to change my policy from an insurance group "18/20" 1994 VW Corrado VR6, to a group "23/50" (new rating) 2000 Merc C220 CDI, will cost me £75!!!! Can anyone explain how? I was ready for an admin fee of maybe £25, which would of been abit annoying, but for it to actually increase my premium? It makes it even more painfull that I have two policies with them, and have done for a few years now. Just dont seem to get any loyalty recognition at all. The only reason the guy could give me was that it's a bigger car...? Which ok yes I agree, it is bigger, but also slower, a lot safer, worth less, not modified, an estate....pretty much a grandad wagon! (no offence to anyone) Anyone got any suggestions or comment? Cheers Rick
16. I had this exact same problem mate, and so did a friend of mine. He took his to a mechanic who said it was a crack on the circuit board in the ABS module. Caused by the heat in the engine bay and it constantly heating up and cooling down with the drive cycles. That same heat (when the car is warmed up) expands the circuit board, makes the contact where it is cracked and so the light goes off if you restart. It made sense to me anyway, so much so that I bought a second hand ABS pump module and swap it out…….. it didn’t work straight away, but then I tried bleeding the whole system (cracking off each caliper bleed nipple in turn, and then the two bleed nipples on the ABS module) and using one of those easy bleed things, and it’s been fine since. Every now and again it throws a wobbler, but 99 out of 100 times its fine! I also remember scanning mine and getting a couple of codes, can’t remember them off the top of my head though, will look if I noted them down anywhere when I get home. Maybe try bleeding the system out fully, and replacing the brake fluid while you’re at it. Then if it’s still causing problems, and you fancy swapping the ABS module, then I still have my old one in the shed, and another spare one I got off a mate who was breaking a car (just in-case I had more problems). If you are willing to pay postage (they are pretty bulky)and a couple of quid, then I will send them across to you. I can’t guarantee them 100% though as they have sat in the shed for the last year or so. Will try and get them codes anyway!
17. Its with a heavy heart I'm having to do this, but after coming to the conclusion that I cant afford to run this and a Jeep at the same time, something has to go, and with winter coming up, its going to have to be the VW. So here goes... The car is on about 186000 miles, so quite a few, but it still runs so smooth and with no funny noises. Has never let me down in over 3 years of ownership, including trawling up and down the M6 most weekends for the last two years to see the girlfriend). It has been really well looked after, oil and filter changes twice a year, and then whatever else when needed: - Plugs & leads - Polyurethane engine mounts - Crank sensor - Radiator, thermostat, housing, crack pipe and all the temperature sensors. - ABS pump - Coil pack - Clutch slave cylinder - Rear wheel bearings, discs and pads. Upgrades: - Larger 288mm front brakes from the Golf VR6 - Wietec Heicon GT adjustable coil overs, and new top mounts. - Miltek stainless steel exhaust - Lenso BSX wheels with really decent tyres (just had two new fitted). It has a cream heated leather interior which is in real good condition with no rips. Wipers have been upgraded to the new polo aero wipers and I have recently removed and refitted the entire dash to get rid of any rattles and squeaks etc. Toad AI606 Thatcham Cat 1 alarm with total closure. Everything works as it should, heater controls, sunroof and spoiler. It has xenon lights fitted at the moment, but can remove at the buyers request to standard (just found them much better and the beam pattern is pretty much same as stock). Also I have had a bit of a play about with the interior lights, all converted to green LED, also done the heater controls, and added LED's in the door handles (BMW style) so they illuminate with the interior lights when you unlock the car The body work is bad, but isnt great, anywhere there has been any rust etc. I have tried to cleaned up and respray myself, so paintwork is a bit patchy when you look close up (filler cap picture). However it cleans up well and has never really bothered me enough to get it professionally done. It is taxed till March next year, and MOT is due February (no advisories last time). Car is located just south of Cambridge I'm after £1500 ono, Let me know if I have missed anything or you need to know anything else. cheers Rick
18. Nope none at all mate, as I say I refurbished them about a year ago, there were no kerb marks or anything, they had been really well looked after. I sanded them all back masked up the tires, primed them, sprayed them with the ford graphite grey (which I can include the touch up pen for) and lacquered them. I then fitted the new kumho tires and have run them for the last year or so and couldn't believe how smooth and well it drove on them.
19. To be honest mate I really don't know, plus because someone has already bid I really just want to let the auction run. Sorry, know it's a bit of a cr@p answer
20. Heads up on some Speedlines I have for sale on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251302667934?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Good condition, refurbed last year in Ford Graphite Grey, and good tires on them with loads of tread. Only selling as I have got some BBS reps on it at the moment and need some space. Could maybe deliver to around Cambridge or Preston if needed
21. I'd definitely be interested too!
22. I have noticed it most in my mirrors driving up and down the M6. I find Mercs and Audis are the worst, especially when they sit behind you for ages! I quess its because the cut-off of the beam pattern is so sharp, that they can be normally set quite high (for example to the bottom of the windows of other cars) as during normal driving hardly any light at all is projected up. The problem is that whenever they hit a bump in the road, or are on any sort of a gradient which is quite alot in the UK, the car bounces and the headlight cut-off raises and lowers with the car, blinding everyone in the process. I thought they were meant to have automatic levelers, but they would have to react so quick it just wouldnt work. My solution to the problem was to buy a Jeep wrangler. Not the most sensible solution I know...but im alot higher up so dont get dazzeled as much, does still happen every now and again though.

24. Do it mate, if you have the time and space, and wouldnt miss the money from selling the car then i'd do it! Im looking to try and take mine off the road and get a second car at the moment, with me using mine as a daily im starting to wory about the milage im putting on it, and also getting wound up wih having to drive it so carefully with the state of the roads. My biggest problem is looking for somewhere I can keep it off the road which isnt going to cost me an arm and a leg. If you already have that, and something else to potter about it (which looks awsome btw) and most of all you wont miss the money you would get from selling it, then i'd hold on to it. Sounds like most people who do get rid start to miss them at some point and hanker after one again anyway. Just my 2p
