The definitive "What Air Filter?" discussion thread
big ben replied to CazzaVR's topic in Engine Bay
i could do with a better filter for my VRT, but think its just a universal cone thing shoved on  -
my mates G60 oil buzzer went off couple times, then next day his engine was shagged as the pump was knackered, cost ££££ to fix. Never drive a corrado with the buzzer going is my advice!!! but saying that, i drove my valver around with it buzzing a lot as it had a newish pump, it was a sensor which cost me 2 quid and 2 minutes to fit.
-
what noise? it was quieter than a standard VR when i was in it last year
-
so i will have to mod the washer jets and then its fairly simple to get it sitting nice... might be ordering one soon then
-
sounds good to me, might even consider doing the same. Any pics?
-
good point... i would rather buy a new lighter bonnet and shove it on rather than piss about taking the under bonnet insualtion off! as long as its safe etc! i would probly get the fibreglass one and paint it though
-
has anyone had problems with these, thinking of getting one soon so want to make sure it is fitted correctly

i thought it was for 6 cylinder and above, so that counts the G60 out then? this seems perfect for winter VRT driving to me... -
