  1. cheers Jim. It sure does make a big difference having nice fresh paint again, a joy to clean :) just got to get the VRT to the same standard now, but first it needs the chains doing and some other bits under the bonnet
  2. well they have all fallen apart, more than others in some cases... what i want to know is what you have done with yours (if anything) has anyone successfully taken it off and been left with nice paintwork?? also, i think we should post pics, see who has the worst, who has the best, and who has the best DIY insulation :D
  3. surely it will take a lot of $$$$ to make it as quick as a VR? its not what you want to hear but i would just buy a VR and spend time/money sorting it out so its mint personally...
  4. very nice, looks brand new.... that its original colour?
  5. VR's are 5x100 so they must be cheap arse wheels im afraid
  6. if its owned by average joe it would only be worth about that! a mint one would be worth a lot more obviously, but i bet people sell them types of cars for couple hundred quid and think they got a good deal! pics would be nice to, dont see enough around no more
  7. not used any colly yet, will invest eventually... im using megs 16 and fk 2685, both good.
  8. yep, its a shame i had to sell it so soon though, it has just started to look mint!! but the VRT is a different level of car... and its only got 70k on it, so i think its about time it got some real miles on it :)
  9. looks really nice there mate!! i would love either a mk4 or mk5 R32... one day maybe
  10. megs 16 mate. applied dodo lime prime as base coat for it... very under rated stuff, its as good as the top end waxs for a fraction of the price!! have you ever used it?
  11. after getting my first house this month its been hectic to say the least, but after getting the tinternet today i thought i would update the thread as there has been a bit going on lately... I got the 16v respray finished, and its come out very nice!! i put the old style grill on and some german style plates as well, im liking the standard look on my corrados nowadays, some pics of how it now looks; very happy with the results, but owning a house and 2 corrados is hard to justify, owning 1 is bad enough  so unfortunately i decided that the valver had to go as the VRT is going no where!! so my mate has decided to buy it, so its going to a good home and i will see it around which is a bonus. I put a MOT on it on saturday, which it failed on the top mounts and a ARB linkage, so no big deal at all for a 20 year old car!! So....... running the VRT daily will be fun i would think  having 1 car again will at least have me concentrating on 1 rather than 2. I havent really drove it for at least 6 months, so driving it the last few days has been wicked, its like getting a new car again :) well i will be updating again soon, just some random pics from the last couple months to finish; some wax beading shots on the valver; and the VRT and my mates VR. there will be lots of better photos later!! there is 4 of us with corrados now, i have started a bit of a trend :)
  12. wicked, look forward to more updates :norty:
  13. if it was easy i would do it, i do like the lazy indy! another thing i would do is a button for the wipers, like what the mercs hav on the end of the stalk, think they are pretty cool
  14. what a thread, will be doing this very soon on the VRT
  15. hey charlie, hows the VRT getting on in the dry weather?
  16. 2 cars and a house, all down hill from now on mate  the car looks like it loves its new home as well!! :)
  17. VRT is the way forward.............. definately sounds like you need a turbo on there!!!!! i was the same as you, i really liked my VR6 but i always wanted it faster, so went and got a VRT and wouldnt change it for the world :D
  18. its got the old seal on :? will drive there on the way back and ask him what he has actually done as it sounds like its fecked, i was thinking it would be a quick fix, but obviously they have donw some real damage to it :censored: cheers kev
  19. well dropped the motor out like you said and it works perfectly when not attached, messed around with it but i think the panel is either jammed or not in correctly maybe??
  20. Did I not explain how to align the panel 2 or 3 posts back? so a resync of the motor will align the panel then kev? bit confused, thought they were 2 different things...
  21. im pretty sure they have put the panel back wrong on my sunroof, when they sprayed it they took the seal out as well but thats all i know of what they actually done? can anyone tell me how i can put the panel in the right position again?
