-
is this what i will need for the conversion?? i thought i needed the keys to?? i think the price also seems a lil high for the age and mileage :confused4: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MK4-golf-R32-engi ... 7C294%3A50
-
what are these then, i have always liked them!! are they off something as standard?? wheels.jpg[/attachment:1bz2rtmk] any pics of rados with them on will also be good :D
-
so putting the engine onto the mounts is easy then? then i get a modded loom and fit that yeah? i know nothing about engines though so excuse some dumb questions, so what else do i need to connect? gearbox, manifold to exhaust (im thinking dubpower for a easy ride).... what else?? i have somewhere i can do the transplant, and once it was running i would just take it to the guys at DGautotech to have a look over it for me... or jut get them to do the entire thing
-
loving the pics, and i like the wheels  keep up the good work!!
-
lets see some more bays, its inspirational :notworthy:

i know how you feel trust me!! mines been off the road since March!! and probly wont be back on the road for a few months yet, then it will be winter :( at least when its sprayed and that, its done, done for good... im not going to do it again (hopefully) and we can just enjoy our cars :D my daily is a golf gti 8v, and its a bag of crap compared to a rado, and to make matters worst my best mate has recently got a nice G60, so hes been loving life and have got to just walk past mine everyday and wish it was on the road, it feels like driving it again is a dream now haha
-
Do it mate, it's easy! :D i would love to do it myself, but doesnt matter how easy it is im useless :( i would rent a hoist for the weekend and end up keeping it a month
-
just dont rush it really, you have gone to far to rush it because you want it painting, keep it up!!
-
nah dont even think about packin in!! a lot of people (including me) wish they had the time and skill to carry this out them selves, keep it up, and let us all know how your getting on!!
-

-
just found your thread, VERY good work, cant wait to see what it will look like when painted!! mine is going for a respray in a few weeks, hope i dont find too many rusty patches like you have, keep up the good work
-
im not a fan of 5 spokes to be fair, yours did look alright though!! bbs looks much nicer i rekon :D your doing a good job there...
-
oh dear... like you say you wont be doing that in a hurry!! at least it had a happy ending with no damage!! i locked my keys in the boot of my first car (polo coupe) outside my house years ago, the RAC came and broke into it, which took about 15 mins... that was 7 years ago, and i wont be doing anything like that again
-
another vote for leave it over here  i would like a picture anyway to see how much better it does look
-
that things a beast!
-
yeah i do still need one... im going on holiday this week, when i get back will pm you, i will give you £15 for it...
-
if it was me, i would keep the recaros but change all the plastics and carpets black... then in the long run you could retrim them black?? it sounds like you wont be happy until your interior is black all round though tbh...
-
£60, gutted!! i said exactly the same when i had my german plates on, they made me take them off so they could dispose of them, which broke my rear number plate recess :bad-words: but at least i didnt get fined... just drove home with no plates on

Rado vs Rice : a little test, which do you prefer?

that supra shows how retarded some people are when modding their cars, must admit most people do style them very nice, and i always have a sceond glance at them, very nice cars!! the guy has modded it, exactly as i would of modded it when i was about 11 years old though  -
AWESOME!! ya car looks very good, wana see some pics of it when it comes out of the bodyshop... great list of mods to :D
-
Thats it, im done, i cant do it anymore

sounds like there is a lot of things runnning through your head!! you have to work out what what you want from your car... is it better looks, faster or both?? if i were you i would probably buy a G60 or VR6 as i like a bit more speed than the valvers, BUT you will only end up spending a fortune in bodywork and mechanical things at the end of the day. Maybe just do the bodywork bits as you go on your car, get it looking and drving mint, enjoy it for a little while, then maybe an engine conversion could be on the cards in the future?? but dont give up on it because of a bit of TLC is needed... every car is going to need something done -
if you read the thread it tells you
-
well yeah they do, you can mask over them and leave them, or be hardcore and spray them :norty:
-
yours do look the best i have ever seen!!! my mates done his and he defo needs to rub his down!! how many coats of tint and laquer you got on them?? did you need 2 cans of savage spray??
