G60 calipers carriers wanted to upgrade to 280mm on my 2.0 8v

As far as I understood it, the calipers were the same on all the 4 pot engine models? -
Are you planning on cutting any of the shell? Depending on how my fibreglass and filler repair holds up, I may be looking for rear n/s arch and also the panel that's underneath the rear part of the plastic side trim, guessing it could be cut out as one panel. Cheers

The cars a '95 8v. In regards to the front bumper, I'm needing to remove it so that I can attach new wings, is it at all possible to attach the wings without fully removing the bumper? I.e. just loosening things off do that I can move the bumper slightly forward and down giving me enough room to attach the wings? Thanks for your help.

Can somebody tell me how to remove the bumpers please. Do I have to unbolt the brackets from the car then separate the bumper cover from the bumper iron, or is it possible to just remover the plastic part of the bumper without unbolting everything? Thanks

Hi, I'm looking at upgrading the brakes on my '95 8v. I have the carriers from a G60, am I right in thinking I can retain my standard callipers, use the G60 carriers and this will allow me to fit 280mm discs? Which brake pads would I go for, ones for the 8v or ones for the G60? As I understand it they have slightly different dimensions? Thanks

Looking for late front wings, both o/s and n/s, preferably in Classic Green. Needs to be in good condition with no rust etc. Would consider other colours if in excellent condition. Cheers

Full Gmax Supersport suspension kit, approx 50/60mm drop, rears hardly used, fronts used for a couple of thousand miles. Originally came of a G60 fitted to my 8v for a couple of weeks before picking up some coilovers. Wanting £50 plus postage.

Ok cool, if you can do them for £70 posted I'll have them. Are the blades in decent condition? Are they a straight swap or will I need to swap the blades onto the opposite arm etc? Cheers

Tried that, still getting quotes of around £100. Price of Golf Mk4, Mk5, late model Polo etc are coming out at around half that including the arms & blades. Was just wondering if other people were running anything different on their cars with good results. ---------- Post added at 10:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:02 PM ---------- How good is the fit? Also is it a noticeable upgrade over the standard wipers?

Does anybody know of any other VW models who's wiper arms fit the Corrado? I'm aware of the Lupo & TT conversions, but they're relatively expensive compared to wipers off of other models eg Mk5 Golf, late model Polo's, Passats etc. The prices on places like eBay are so much cheaper for these other models. Cheers

Hi I have in my possession a full suspension kit (not coilovers), including top mounts. This suspension has come off a G60. I intend to fit it to my 8v tomorrow. Can anybody tell me if it will bolt straight up or will I need to modify anything or buy different top mounts, bump stops or anything? Thanks

I had this problem last weekend. The nearside bulb you can do without removing the headlight, little bit cramped for space but not too difficult. The offside bulb, you need to move the airbox out of the way, then again you can get access to the back of the headlight to change the bulb.

Sounds good to me. As I understand it, I can use 280mm carriers with my smaller calipers and then fit 280mm discs? If that's the case I'll bite yer hand off for those carriers!!
