  1. The wheels bolt straight up to the hub, perfect fit with no spigot rings needed. That's one of the strange things, I'd have thought that with the offset being wrong for VW 4x100 cars, the cntre bore would also be wrong. But for whatever reason the centre bore is the correct VW size.
  2. Doh, should have out the size in the ad! I'm looking for at least 10mm/15mm, I've got some 16"" BBS wheels that won't clear the spring perches on the rear coilovers as they're et45. So looking to space out at least 10mm to bring them out to standard offset, if not a little further. Cheers for the offer though Jeff
  3. As per the title, I'm in need of a pair of 4x100 Hubcentric spacers including bolts/fixings. As cheap as possible! Thanks
  4. Thanks very much for your advice. I'll keep an eye on here, ed38 & eBay for any 2nd hand ones that come up for sale, either 10mm or 15mm. Can't really afford new at the moment, nearly £700 on coilovers and tyres has wiped me out a little bit!! Cheers
  5. I'm guessing I'll be able to get away with only 10mm spacers? This should bring it in line with the standard ET35?
  6. I've just fitted some AP Coilovers to my 8v Corrado and I've encountered a problem. I've only been able to lower the rear approx 20/30mm as the spring perch will catch on the inner rear tyres it I go any lower. I'm running BBS RS 764 - 6.5x16 et45 with 205x45x16 on the rear, I'm changing all my tyres to 195x45x16 Vredestein Sportrac 5 on Saturday, anybody know if this will now give me enough clearance to lower the rear more, or am I likely to have to go down the spacer route? Is there a legal amount of clearance you need between suspension components and the inside of your wheels/tyres? Cheers
  7. Gmax lowering kit, came off a G60. Lowers 40mm. Good used condition. Only £40. Collection from Bradford, or buyer to sort their own courier. Cheers

    Clay bars???

Veenix - Cheers dude, your assessment is reassuring, the only worry I really had was that the ride would be really harsh or crashy. I can handle the firmness on the roads I generally drive on. Sorry again for the hijack. From clay bars to coilovers, both begin with C I suppose!

Jamie - Cheers man, looking forward to having my own personal snow plow to deal with this ****e weather!

    Clay bars???

Sorry to change the subject, but I noticed in your sig it says you have AP Coilovers. I've got a set that will be getting fitted next week. How do you get on with yours? Decent enough ride etc? Cheers
  11. Cheers mate, but it's more or less in the same condition as mine do I'll pass.
  12. What kind of condition is the gear knob in? Any pics and a price posted? Cheers
  13. I have some G60 carriers available, they've been stripped and cleaned up, in very good condition. I can do them for £25 posted or £20 collected. As far as I'm aware, if you use G60 carriers you can use your standard calipers and fit 280mm discs.
  14. Gmax lowering kit, came off a G60. Lowers 40mm. Good used condition. Only £40. Collection from Bradford, or buyer to sort their own courier. Cheers
  15. Damn, really could have done with that, my gear knob and gaiter are on their last legs. Would you take an increased offer? I did say at 9.43am that I'd take it depending on postage cost.
  16. Nice one, can you give me a price posted for the TT shifter. Seen a picture of it in your build thread. I'll definitely take it depending on postage cost. Cheers Call it £25 posted my friend Sweet, sounds good to me mate. Do you want to pm me your PayPal details and I'll send you my address. Cheers Chris

Nice one, can you give me a price posted for the TT shifter. Seen a picture of it in your build thread. I'll definitely take it depending on postage cost. Cheers

  19. Really can't fault the 8v model to be fair. I've had faster card in the past but in this day and age you can't really push a car too much anyway, what with all the traffic, speed cameras and over zealous traffic police. 8v engine doesn't really push the chassis to much unless you drive like a dickhead, quite safe to push it as far as you can when you're on quiet b roads away from everybody else, still brings a smile to your face whilst returning 35mpg easily when taking it easy. Also I've noticed with it sharing an engine with the mk3 Golf GTi the engine parts are a little cheaper.
  20. Good luck with the car mate, hope you enjoy it as much ad I have mine. I've got a '95 Classic Green 8v, had it since Feb 2011 and it's not missed a beat apart from the starter motor being a bit off over the past couple of days.
  21. Ok cool, sounds like mines on the way out, struggling to start sometimes. Looking at it over the weekend, hoping its just he copper bush. Don't think I'm that lucky though!
  22. Hi, is it an ADY engine? I may be in need of a starter motor shortly if you still have it? Cheers
