  1. Haha, sorry mate. I've been looking for a good wing for 4 months and so I actually bid £80 for the pair which is quite a lot but after all that time, I didn't care. Still have some things to do, my rad is weeping slightly so I bought a Hella one, also oil cooler is still to go in but I'll do all these bits over winter. Wheel spacers arrived so hopefully RH cups will now fit over the 288s
  2. Funny you say that mate, dropped my car off at Walter Bell Coachworks, it's a 30 mile drive over the A69, no traffic today ;) Absolutely destroyed some dude in his Boxster trying to give it some, he comes up behind....all inpatient as I'm doing 60....I'm not happy, drop into 3rd and the charger comes on heat.....bye bye pretty Red hairdresser car! The C is now with Walter for a week having a front end respray. Only the wing was an issue but the bonnet never quite matched colour wise and so I figured we may as well do it right. Also getting the back bumper done as the previous owner had a minor bump and crazed the paint. New wing may be Green, but it is immaculate :)
  3. Yep, I had 10 years out....but the draw was always there, just that Corrados are time consuming ;)
  4. Yeah, some pretty heavy corrosion there. Have you tried POR-15 before? might be worth using that on this one.
  5. Which side is OS mate? I have my old set but one of them is stripped. The other one is fine.
  6. The bit I have is No 14 on this diagram http://www.vwparts2go.com/oem-part/volkswagen/corrado/1993/slc/2-8l-v6-gas/body-hardware/windshield-glass/reveal-molding/535853307a01c
  7. As far as I know, the trim is the two side parts and then the long plastic trim that goes all the way around. I have one of those if you need it. Ron
  8. I ran an Octavia VRS (an AUQ engine) with an IHI VF34 on (fitted by jabba) no internal work done, it made 340 bhp on jabbas rollers and 325 bhp on RSTunings. The car did 70K miles with that conversion and was still running fine when I sold it. However most advise that the AUQ and IHI VF34 are only reliable to 300bhp. Like the guys say though, better to buy a BAM engine as AGU/AUQ will set you back 2-300 hundred quid without a turbo or 4-500 with a turbo (K03 on the AGU is only good for 200bhp and the KO3s on the AUG is about 220 tops) Then you'll spend £600-900 on a new turbo, plus a manifold to mount it on, plus lot of other little bits that need uprating. You'll have spent at least £1500 on the engine and turbo alone. Plus mapping. You can buy a good BAM engine with a Ko4 turbo for about £700-800 and that's ready to make 270bhp with just a map.
  9. My RH cups won't clear my 288 callipers and so I want to try spacers. Thanks
  10. Yeah, £4k on Beer and Hookers....more or less fun than the corrado? ;)
  11. Do a search on eBay. I got a Topran (decent German brand) one with the gasket included for £60 Comparing it the the OE it was identical.
  12. Hey mate. They normally got for £50-£60 on here, I'm only saying it as several have come up at £80 not sold and then gone for £20-£30 less. The are some idiots on eBay putting them up for £80....."look corrado rare"
  13. Mate, I've managed to burn through nearly £4000 in the space of a year!
  14. Hi, Is the C2 spacer the steel one? Thanks Ron I feel the need for more boost ;)
  15. I had a chat with Vince at Stealth when I was doing mine. He was saying that with a Vortech 6-8psi is ok without lowering comp but he did say if that at 8psi you'd need to watch it on a really hot day/track use. For 6 psi you just need the charger and pipework + Map. For 8 psi you need injectors too and most likely some extra idler set up to help with belt slip on the smaller pulley.
  16. No spacers needed, I tried a 15mm spacer when I first fitted them but with the kids in the back it was too close to the arch for me liking. They are very straight, pretty much like new wheels really. Certainly will be at the RR day :)
  17. 6.5J as I remember. They are nice and light, I can feel that the RH cups are heavier Another pic here
  18. Aye go on then, pm me and I'll send out payment details.
  19. No probs, shoot me a PM and I'll send you payment details etc
  20. All posted in one go to save forum clog up: 4x Kumho Ecsta tyres 205/40/16 - 2 are good with 5mm left, 1 is OK with 4mm left but a little more wear on the edge, 1 is legal 2-3mm but wear is uneven. £60 posted BMC CDA - The original and best intake for the VR6 (Great sound!) Very good nick, all stickers in place and not scratched, was cleaned and oiled about 1000 miles ago. Comes with all the bits unlike some, slightly angled pipe to MAF, Bracket to mount to tensioner bolt and also an 8" neoprene inlet pipe to pull come air from the headlight or carbon canister hole (if you've deleted it) £105 posted Set of BBS Montreal IIs - Refurbed back in Feb at a cost of £220 in very deep sparkly silver powdercoat (very durable) absolutely mint as the car has only covered 1500 miles since fitted. Tyres are 205/45/16, front are Goodyear Eagle F1 with 4mm, rear is Bridgestone Turanza with 3mm. Wheels cost me £150 plus £220 refurb plus new centre caps and some tyres so owe me over £500 £300 buyer collects or arranges courier
  21. Bit of bad news today, while i was waxoyling everthing up before re-assembly I noticed a little damp patch at the botton of my radiator support. Looked a little closer still and the rad is wet in the drivers side lower corner. Seems to have a leak coming from the join betweek the plastic and aluminium join. The rad was only just replaced in 2011 but it was a cheapo one made by ARC. Just ordered a new Hella one for £140 delivered. Bugger, this car has eaten a massive hole in my wallet :( On the plus side, a while ago I posted about a coolant smell that I thougt was the matrix but on investigation the matrix was bone dry and no smells or steam from the vents. I think I've found the source!
  22. Yeah, I had that a lot when trying to buy from the US :(
  23. Agree, since i bought mine in may, I have only seen one come up on VWVortex
