L reg C in Blandford Forum square spotted at just after midnight, Sunday morning. No one from the S.C.C.?
-
mad-dog - Is the post by Southie (below) you by any chance? There ain't many nuggets this close to the sea!
-
Looking forward to Sunday if I can escape!

Cleaned off the corrosion on the battery terminal and coated with Vasaline. Then polished off all the crap acquired from the Saturday run up to Oxford. Rain stopped play...
-
Hi - Cheers for passing Giles on - I'd lost his number. Usually can't do Bakers as I'm away, but hope to join in a Sunday run at some stage. Don't think it was me going past the Bakers BTW!

Spotted H reg C in Blandford, Dorset with air scoops? through the bonnet. Need to see more!

After seven years owning my VR6 I've finally got around to making sure the old girl lasts the distance. There was a time when I had no choice but to use her all through winter with all the snow and blasted grit. As a result, she developed some nasty rust - mainly on the drivers door. I picked up another door to replace the old one, invested in some new roof rails as the old ones had perished. She's just come out of the bodyshop after three weeks and the pics here show just how much work was done to her - and I thought she wasn't too bad! I've just picked her up and had a thrash through the Dorset scenery (I'm sure the paint has made her more slippery through the air?). As with every motor, there's still more I want to do, with the wheels high on the list. Looking for a good (and cheap) refurb' outlet in Dorset as I can't stretch to the £80 + the dreaded I've been quoted per corner. Enjoy the pics...

Picked up the Gnu from the bodyshop after three weeks. Had a cruise around and polished up a polished car. Smug grin:smug:

Black C with orange logo sun-visor just out of Salisbury on the way to Andover, Friday 5pm. I was waving like a loony from the grey company crap-heap!
-
I would have thought so too. Apparently 8 licenced and 5 on SORN - 13 - even so? Is there a Storm register?
-
I'm sure this has been on here at some stage, but I've just discovered this site http://howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=vw+corrado which deals with registered UK cars both taxed and SORN. Makes for some interesting reading with the following stats which would probably be reflected globally. VR6 - 1.4k 16V - 798 G60 - 370 Corrado - 114 (not sure which one this relates to? ) VR6 Auto - 51 VR6 Storm - 8 Corrado Auto - 5 VR6 Storm Auto - 0 1400 VR6's dead, written-off, crushed, broken since 2000! Last VR6 Auto died 2008/9 - unless you know better?!

My VR is just having a re-spray and I want to get the wheels up to spec. The original Speedlines are a bit shot and scabby. Would I be best to get them shot blasted then polished? Like tevO I'm on a budget as I've blown my wad (asitwere) on the paint.

I've been using Showroom Shine for a year or so. Bought the stuff not really believing the hype. However, it works! Carnauba wax is the magic ingredient as it is real slippy and helps remove all those bugs. Other makes re available!

K reg C in silver spotted near Arundel today. Non standard wheels and on the move!
-
Mine is off for some bodywork and a re-spray too. Hence, the expensive rubber!
-
I have also used http://www.veedubmachine.co.uk/index...roducts_id=251 and yes - the things are an arm and a leg, but I can recommend the company. Quick and with delivery about £145. Who needs a pension?
-
I love my VR because it does smiles from 0 to silly and back again. :smug:
-
Hi StueyB - This is good news! How much for the door please? I may be able to collect but if you could provide a courier charge too that'd be great. Cheers Jez
-
Bump Still looking for a tidy door. Anywhere south south-west!
-
I'm trying to locate a tidy drivers door for my VR6 M reg. Any colour (if it's LB72 silver then it's a bonus) would be fine just as long as it is rust free (can cope with small ding/s). As close to Dorset as possible. Cheers. Jez BTW - Am away for work this coming week but will try to reply asap.:geek:
-
Hi Rams - I'm looking for a tidy drivers door - can you help? Just down the road from you so collection no problem. Cheers jez
