  1. This is no joke - I saw a Pink Probe about 10yrs ago! (ooer missus!) Was that an optional colour?
  2. Looks great - paintwork looks like glass!
  3. I read an article comparing the Corrado, Probe and MR2 and the reviewers said that the Probe would age the best and the Corrado the worst!
  4. Lol - glad it's sparking some interesting opinions. I hate Chavvy styling but I feel that modern motors have lost their styling flair - look at the styling of the Corrado - just follow that s-shaped curve from the rear spoiler - down the rear quarter all the way to the front wing - gorgeous. So many hatches look so similar now - Polos, Fiestas, Puntos etc - there's not the same design flair. I suppose it's just a sign of the times - look at some of the designs of 50s and 60s America - gave the cars personality - that's one main reason I've not bought a newer car - modern cars (well ones I can afford) don't have the same charisma as older ones. As Jazz says:-
  5. I'm talking about "sporty" versions of normal cars. If you looked at a normal Mk IV Escort then an RS Turbo - the differences in performance and styling were huge! You just don't seem to get that these days - the new Focus ST for example - looks good but it's just not different enough.
  6. Me and a mate were talking about the current way that cars are styled. There are no crazy masculine styled mainstream cars anymore - where are the modern Cosworths? The sporty versions of normal hatchbacks these days are not as wild looking - where are the bonnet vents, side skirts and huge spoilers!! Anyone else agree?
  7. I know - that confused me - looks Aqua Blue, Speedlines and no Storm badge - did he mean his car is written off too?
  8. That's pretty shocking - I'd feel pretty lucky to walk away from that!
  9. Love it - looks fantastic - and I'l lsay it again! Amazing colour! Don't you think the Corrado still looks such a stylish car?
  10. I usually get about 32mpg in my VR6 now but got more than that in my valver. That was biggest thing I noticed after noise and power was how thirsty the VR was. In my early days of VR ownership though I booted it constantly!
  11. That's exactly what I did - and I have loved every second - well except the numerous ones spent at petrol stations filling up! You'll get used to that!
  12. Maybe you and tonedef should do a swap! Handbooks seem to be pretty random then it would seem.
  13. I'm talking about the leather effect handbook that contains manual, servicing documents etc. My 2.0l 16v Corrado had a grey interior and handbook was grey and my Aqua Blue Corrado with black interior has a black folder. Was just wondering as I've recently bought the cream leather interior and wondered if the handbook should now be cream.
  14. Black interior ones had black ones and grey had grey ones...........hmmm
  15. Maybe a silly question but did the Corrado's with a cream leather interior have a cream handbook?
  16. Gorgeous - love Dark Burgundy Pearl Corrados! Your's is especially nice! - interior?
  17. VR6 - mainly coz of the sound but got tired of telling people I had a 2.0l 16v Corrado and people saying "oh - it's not the VR6?"
  18. Bad luck mate - gotta admit - still looks cool on the back of a truck though!
  19. lovely motor - where did you get your plates?
