Hi guys I had a slight misfire for about a week, I put it down to maybe the fuel filter or pump as I've never changed the filter and heard they can misfire if blocked! Changed the filter and checked the pump and all was fine so next up to check was plugs/leads/dizzy.... I pulled a lead off the dizzy while the engine was running and nothing changed. I removed that plug and it didn't look good! Covered in black stuff and the insulation around the bottom was cracked.....definitely the problem :( I only changed the plugs a few months ago when I did the chains so don't know how they've got this bad! Any ideas? Also my key fob stopped working last night which is annoying! It resets the battery every time I unlock it. I'll check the fuses tonight as my cabin light doesn't work either! Oh yeah and a parcel shelf strap broke yesterday aswell :(

I don't remember having to remove the arch plastic! I removed the under tray that covers the aux belt and the crank pulley was visible! Once I'd got to it I couldn't find any TDC marks on it anyway so just timed it to the camshaft like Tom said! I used some coffee cup coasters to lock the cams the first time I did it but ended up buying the locking tool off eBay as it bolts down and doesn't move. Good luck mate. Be interested to see how it goes as ill be doing this at some point :) Ben
