  1. A Good base alright! Good luck with the conversion! I know of somebody here (Ireland) with a G60 converted to 1.8t (well neraly finished) Same color, seems to be the way to go for power!

    does anybody know of the ratios of the various gearboxes, 8v, 16v, G60, VR6, 1.8, 2.0 I am just trying to see whats the most suitable box for my 16v G60 parts collection! Thanks Richard
  3. i was thinking of the back, but i do take what your saying to heart! The Only prob with the front mount is the location of it for access. Will a rallye fmic fit the corrado easily?
  4. Alex, its like the info is for my mate too 8) I have heard that a mix of G60 pulleys and mk3 ones are the best combo, read it on vortex
  5. depends on the type of nut, my mate swares by the old hammer a socket onto it and then open it by ratchet!! Will only work on some types
  6. Thanks guys, Darren, what sort of diameter are the valves in the crossflow head? Jason, what sort of flywheel bhp are you getting? is it a 1.8 or bigger? thanks :)

  13. i was bidding on those too, I thought that since mj will charge 300 for your own cards it wasnt worth it! Or just buy some lhd ones from Germany and get them modded, for €50 it wouldnt be a bad move!! Very sust, i mailed the seller, but he didnt respond!
  14. Thanks Kev, i might use a G60 charger, not 100% yet. Gonna use a G60 block, bigger cooling channels, forged pistons too. I know the turbo makes more power, but the G makes a serious sound! Are the G60 Rods the same as the 16v ones? As for managment, i will be going with the G60 setup, for the moment.............then maybe dta, if the bank manager allows it lol
  15. Does anybody have a 16v with turbo or supercharger, i am just wondering what sort of head work they have done? Also what are the pro's and cons of doing bigger valves? Someone was saying that a mk3 git 16v head would be a good option! any ideas? Thanks

    cheers darren! and nigel. anyone looking to get rid of one? So "all" i need is the u bend from a rallye or g60 golf without aircon. which had the cooler in the engine bay at a bit of an angle?

I have been loking at intercooler pipes, i see on the vw parts cd a u piece that comes out of the charger for a fmic. does anyone know how efficeient these are and what they were used on? i can ony find it on the Golf G60, not the rallye or corrado, but i thought the golf g60 had corrado style intercooler? Now i am confused :? but its prob an obvious question! thanks Richard
