  1. Cheers, just insured it tonight pretty good deal from Adrian Flux. Was planning on coilovers and a rear arb, keep looking at polished D90's however..... bodywork could do with a looking at but going to leave till after summer.
  2. A quick introduction..... My first entry into Corrado ownership started around 2003 with the above 1.8 16v, had it around 2 year, sold to rado Steve on here so I could finish my Beetle project (more on this later) Few years later followed a cross over 9a 2.0 16v, done as a cheap daily driver it was a lot of fun but sold on around 2006, not sure where it is now but I suspect in bits due to the miles on it. Had various other vag stuff as daily drivers while the bug ended up in the above state as my 'toy'. Years of constant tinkering and getting more into the drag racing side of things saw it get less usable and ultimately less fun. After 12 years of ownership I took the decision to sell and buy the late model Corrado VR6 I always promised myself I'd own one day. Popped up for sale (on here) 3 miles from where we live, mechanically right & everything works. Bodywork isn't bad and nothing that can't be sorted. Looking into some coilovers and possibly rear arb this weekends plan however will be a good polish and a drive out somewhere:cool: Mark
  3. Looking into a set of D90's for my VR6, like the look of 8's at the back but anyone running them up front as well or are 7's a safer bet (no rubbing etc) Mark
  4. Noooooooooo, that's the original spare! It's been with the car 23 years:p
  5. As said many times over, luck was on your side and glad you're ok. The Corrado held up well, can't imagine many other cars nearing 20 years old doing the same. As for the tit that hit you there's no way he should have been driving, I work abroad travelling on long haul flights a lot and won't drive until a day after I get back, don't feel comfortable doing it.
  6. Very impressive, just been through the whole thread... Not had a Corrado for 7 years or so but looking to get back into one next year (and yours is definite motivation) do you get to any meets around the North East? Would love a look around this (although it's probably not the weather at the minute) Mark
