  6. i was just wondering where the best place is to go for coilovers or lowering springs and uprated shocks? my MOT is immenently due and im on relatively small budget so i am trying to weigh up what do do..... coilovers or shocks and springs i have seen in threads that FK do coilovers for about £350 and was wondering where you get them from at this price? cheers,

    it sounds like its over fueling, possibly the timing is out..... i had that until i sorted out my timing! it felt flat as hell and had lots of pops and crackles when lifting off the throttle

    if its not chipped then that could cause problems, not fueling correctly. also, did you flush out the IC to make sure there is no debris in there from the last charger that grenaded? the other thing to do is get the timing checked cos if its been altered on the dizzy to compensate for the loss of the charger (which it shouldnt have been) then it could be running to lean...... is the car running smoothly on aceleration?
  9. your directional tires are on the wrong way round mate :wink: :lol: to be fair it looks great though! i had a Monster Beetle and then after a bit i had the Grave Digger! 8) i loved them both but always found that the monster beetle rear dampers were too stiff and always caused wear on the ends of the driveshafts at the wheel hub end! i sorted that by swaping the front dampers with the backs so that the rears were softer causing the car to squat down and level the driveshafts off! i always wanted the Clod Buster but they were well expensive at the time........ if they are £200 now i honestly dont think they were much different price wise when i was a kid!

  11. are these different and what year did they change? my 91 G60 has the 7 slat front grille and i went and bought a 3 slat badgeless FK one at GTI Fest and it didnt fit as it had 3 seating legs on the bottom and my slam pannel only has holes to take 2..... where can i get a grille or grille and eyebrow from that will fit my C? cheers,

  13. i have always loved the Mk2 but never owned one.... im a big fan of the later big bumper version myself. lower it and add a set of split rims and thats all it needs! perfect!
  14. well i chose to remove my VW badge and keep the Corrado and G60 on mine when i had it resprayed last year take a look
  15. :lol: could be the motor, its a bugger to get out though to check. you need to get a power probe direct from the battery to the motor to see if it will work then. thats the best way to test if its definately the motor thats shot!
  16. i wouldnt say that the new teg looks like your average modern day boring car to be honest but everyone has different taste and im suprised i havnt been flamed for suggesting a rice burner :lol: i love the 147 GTA but i could never bring myself to buying one because of the depreciation...... unless they have already depreciated considerably and buying it wouldnt require me getting a loan. i can see people's point with the true enthusiast has to have owned an alfa though as they really are something special and the 147 GTA stands out from the crowd saying class, power and prowess...... i love em! 8) gotta be in red with these alloys though :wink:
  17. ah i just forgot as i take it for granted seeing as all the Teg's both DC2 and DC5's have it....... its definately got enough power to constitute the LSD as well as you can really feel it in the corners compared to a CTR. the other advantage over the CTR is that i doesnt have the awful EPS steering so its much more responsive and you can feel what the car is doing the way you should! the Alpha 147 GTa is really nice and was a contender when my mate bought his DC5 but its an Alpha at the end of the day so your going to suffer from horrific depreciation and the only way you could live with that is if yourplanning to keep it for a lifetime so it wouldnt matter
  18. Honda Integra DC5 gets my vote! fantastic handling as well as looks and a bullet proof highly tunable engine! Recaro's and Brembo's as standard as well as 220bhp and a red line at 8,650rpm! 8) insurance isnt that much either at under a grand fully comp for a year with A-Plan! 8) ............ that is if you could accept driving a rice burner :wink: i know i would :lol:

  20. the relay went on mine causing the same problem...... im not sure if its in the same place as the G60 but if it is its on the right hand side of the radiator near the battery as you look under the bonnet......
  21. well my original one was a red plastic dizzy cap, under that was the dizzy and rotor with the spade connector on the side of the dizzy for the earth off the cap. with my new dizzy cap i have scraped the metal sleeve with the earth wire on it and have a black insulated, newer design dizzy cap. dont worry about it as its whats classed as a 'chuckable part' just get rid of it
  22. there should be a small spade connector on your dizzy that it attaches to, i would guess this is the same whether its been replaced or not. my advice would be to take the metal collar that the strap is attached to and bin it! its got fook all use to be honest! thats what i did when i replaced my distributor cap!
