shweeeet, should have you guys a figure by Monday :) -
I seem to be the youngest Vr rado owner on here @ 20, and although i seem to fit your stereo type somewhat regarding lowering and wheels, i have also spent SERIOUS time repairing upgrading almost everything on the car, when i brought it it was EXACTLY as you described, a truly sad state lowered on tacky wheels, with quite honestly a system i regard offensive to refer to as suspension, window tints, bodged wiring, it saddened me. i myself have had a deep interest in classics since a pup and have applied this taste to the rado, 968 cups over wolfrace wheels from halfords so-on and replacing that **** suspension with KW Variant 2's, also replacing all broken parts with only Hella approved items (rad etc), removing the dash and replacing all worn/ bodged wires and blocks, removing as much as possible from the bay, cleaning and refurnishing all brackets plastics, replacing the window mechanisms so they work, fitting the 1997 mk3 golf sunroof unit in lue of the broken abandoned corrado one, new hinges for the bonnet, even replacing the gear knob with a better specimen, right down to new jubilee clips in the bay the list could go on and on.......... I do agree with you a incredible amount as they seem to of somehow ended up with body kits on and chrome wheels world wide, i am just letting you know, there is at least some hope for the younger generation.

hmmm, i have been um'ing and ar'ing about it. i think the 8000K ones are obvious, but 3000k are just really yellow, to the unacknowledged copper, seem like just old bulbs, i have friends who have ran 3000k kits for a year or 2 and never had a problem. duno maaaaaan, just love the retro look the yellow lights give off, mot wont be a problem as i have a good friend in the trade. dunoooo, :S

Full JL Audio TR Sound System Upgrade Group Buy
EJ Taylor replied to EJ Taylor's topic in Forum Group-Buys
improvements would be noticeable replacing the standard paper cones (USELESS) with these, most of all, being a better speaker by miles, also having an additional 2 tweeters in the rear. However, a speaker is only a puppet to the stereo and Running a non standard HU would boost the improvement even more. when the rado came about, that day and age did not class a good sound system important. there fore the paper cones are capable of very little as far as speakers go. yes these would replace your existing speakers like for like size for size. JL Audio IMO are one of the best all round ICE companies to date, you would not be disappointed. charlie -
Full JL Audio TR Sound System Upgrade Group Buy
EJ Taylor replied to EJ Taylor's topic in Forum Group-Buys
haha i did see that and was awaiting the plug ;) yes unfortunately this happens alot in corrados, and mounting the cross over in view is a seriously bad call. i would eliminate the amp and just get a decent HU as you said mate. alpines 123 seems to be going at good prices now being last years design. features a beautifully crisp output @ 4 x 50. alot of people just dont seem to have the knowledge, brains to research into speaker set-ups to find the exact stock replacement sizes. if you would like prices on any units give me a shout. -
i got a mate in the mot side of things so thats not an issue. and i had them fitted to previous cars and if you get budget ones they are aweful. i know what ones to get. and i dont want the blue light, im after the 3000k which is a very yellow light. old school look.

i just paid the tenner and now it says im waiting for approval one shal not be best pleased if i get denied!

cheers man, makes alot of sense now. stuck between a rock and a hard place then really. The Divide seems to complicate things. but i see exactly what you are saying. i just cant justify paying money to go on a website. especially when owning a corrado on its own is not the cheapest. maybe alot of the lack of go in the forum mights just be down to a ****ty wet summer making a poo show season/ car enthusiast year. I duno man, all i know is i would just love to spend more time jaming with loads of corrado's going to shows and stuff. and i feel like unless i spend 4 hours a day inspecting CCGB and CF i miss it all. maybe do like a Notice board on the page as a home page? upcoming events and meets? might be an idea? i think once you get everyone together and meeting each other, will give the site a bit more of a personality and less of a corrado wikipedia appeal?
-
Explain, Is CCGB the same as CF? same people? this is what confuses me? it seems they are the same? yet different? i dont get it. why not just have one?
-
ok, i hold my hands up to that! the next one is planned a mile down the road from me so ill walk if i have to! ha

Cars been in the garage, thought it would of been ready by then, and it wasnt. Apolagies. but thats one event. Valid point though.

GUYS WE NEED TO DO MORE! the Corrado forum needs to organise more things? meets and so-on.... never anything going on man! and when it is its poorly organised! in brutal honesty! there is the corrado club, wich charge money, but i and im sure many others arnt members, think we need to stop trying to ne along side them and make the corrado forum its own thing! ---------- Post added at 11:44 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:41 AM ---------- Plus it seems alot on here dont even own corrados, they drive ****in family cars n shizz, and just sit at home judging everyone else.... just sayin! used to be with a beetle owners club n were always going to shows together meeting up n stuff. think the whole "corrado forum" and "corrado club" is allot of the reason for the sites lack of VAJAZZLE! (yes i just said that!)
