sorry for the bad punctuation i have always worked with my hands and Eglish is not my strong point i am currently training as a furniture design and maker so i don't practice English maybe as much as i should. I really didn't want to cause an argument the main reason i started the thread was not to cause an argument or slate the show. I was quite interested in weather people have problems getting in shows a lot as i would like to avoid the situation occurring again maybe a lot further from home. I'm sorry if I offended anyone I wrote the post a little annoyed .I feel it's great the show raises money for a worthy cause I felt the show was well organised and agree the massively high temperature didn't help anyone. I respect the rule that any cars after 90s can't come in (I should have read the website before going but having just turned up previously in my Mini thought it would be ok). but it annoyed me when I soar various minis mgs etc the same age as my corrado welcomed into the show just felt like the rule applied to some and not others I have had many good year's at the show In my Mini and thank you for that. Finally I totally agree my punctuation is terrible but how is it fair to judge me on that I spent two years restoring my Mini and six months on the corrado I love cars and work on them regularly so please don't just me because I have bad grammar.

yeh some good points their guys its the fact loads of kit cars were their that got me but still yeh not going back next year nice to get some opinions definatlly a modern classic and i agree not a full classic yet but just thought id give it a go with the rado as id had fun in the mini previously ow well

its lowered alloys exhaust but got a nice original leather interior etc so its not like its wearing a body kit or anything i reckon i got turned away because im only 20 and they thought i was a yob lol just annoyed me is all just spent six months getting it how it is just for some scout to tell me it cant come in

hi guys just wondered what you thought on this situation i live around 5 mins from the darling buds classic car show i take my 1992 mini every year and have never had a problem this year the minis of the road so thought i would take my 1992 corrado got their the guy was rude to me and wouldnt let me in because my car wasnt a classic this annoyed me a bit as we all put time into our cars to keep them on the road and their were various other new cars their like minis mgs porsches a new subaru and loads of kit cars their was loads of room in the show so what do you guys think do you consider the corrado a classic especially now their getting rarer

now 80 pound for the whole interior as need the space thanks ross

right went camping the other day and took some decent pics of the car now its on the road what you reckon

well update the corrados been on the road for a couple of weeks and i had a nightmare at first as the car was undriveable i found out this was due to a wire coming out the back of the lambda sensor plug reconnected it and its been great ever since took it for a 320 mile round trip and was getting 35mpg all the way at 70 which i think is pretty good for a valver and its put alot of smiles on my face just need a new exhaust now

gear knobs sold and payed for offers on the rest with regards to the window switches the drivers one has both metal clips but the passenger has none thanks ross

problem solved after much investigation turned out one wire had come of the lambda sensor reconnected and she drives like a dream and was getting 30mpg all the way home

sorry which sensor is this pretty new to corrados not used to all these sensors

update i spoke to a friend who suggested advancing the dizzy which i did and rejoice took it round the bloack all ran fine and flew anyway thought all was well so i went to get some petrol went about 2 miles and it started going all flat again same as before just as it started to warm up any ideas im thinking lambda sensor now thanks ross

right guys i checked the timing by lining up the marks on the flywheel etc and it all seems pretty damn good and lined up also tried disconnecting cold start injector and spraying the electrical connectors with cleaner and its the same any ideas guys getting a bit worried now visually can see any vacum leaks but not sure how to test a guy i spoke to suggested on cam could have gone out of time with the other can this happen ?

just gonna go check the cam timing if its not that unplug the cold start injector if that does nothing check for vacum leaks if that fails just clean all the sensors if that does nothing start worrying left any other checks out ?

will get a pic of the clips pretty sure the drivers ones are all their but the passenger ones arent but ill check tommorow thanks ross

just went out with my dad and its pretty undriveable it takes of like a stabbed rat at 4000 but before that it just stutters and messes around wont go at all any idea im thinking it could be the lambada sensor is their anyway to test this i was also going to try unplugging the cold start injector anyone got any idfeas

hi guys i have a bit of a problem i got the corrado on the road for the first time and was really happy but it seems to have a problem as it seems really slugish right up till about 4000 rpm at which point it flys and i had to drive it hard to get it to go anywhere now i was told it had an injection problem but i thought id solved it by doing a few bits but it apears not at one point i had trouble keeping it running when slowing down any ideas guys the engine sounds healthy enough and ive just done a full service thanks ross its a 2.0 16v k plate ---------- Post added at 6:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:16 PM ---------- ow and the speed sensor is faulty assumingly because the mfa speedo doesnt work dont know if that makes any difference
