  3. I've just finished reading this thread, took me two days mind you but what a great story including the burning bush scenario.....:salute: I await the next installment with baited breath and a fire extinguisher.....
  4. Dunlop again! definately his year, that fella looks unstopable but fair play to anstey who ran him close in that last one

  6. I'm with you there sean....my lot is Sheffield Wednesday...:( mind you...on the plus side at least I get to go to wigan next season......
  7. I am still in love with this car.....:notworthy: what wheels are those please chris ?
  8. I've done mad sunday 7 times before I sold my bikes in 2005. Its real bucket list stuff and even if youre not a biker or are ever going to be one its worth just watching for the sheer spectacle of it all. I loved every minute of it but as old fartdom comes upon me i've no desire to do it again. The guys that do this have spacehopper sizes titanium balls, it really is the ultimate race. My hero David Jefferies, first man to do 125 mph lap met his maker 10 years ago this week, sleep well big man. If you get the chance, go see it, if youre not impressed....youre dead

  14. Have to say, the funniest thing I saw over christmas was the re-runs of the christmas specials for the two ronnies and morecambe and wise.........For something thats 30 year old at best that tells you a lot about modern british comedy
  15. very nice looking car there mate :thumbleft:
  16. Hi Kev bit late to the party here so to speak as I've only just joined up in the last week or so, but I have to say your car is absolutely stunning and a testiment to your dedication. Keep posting your updates mate, its a source of motivation for an old fart like me!! cheers

    Oh I'm bad

With the relentless war on speed, you cant see any politician agreeing to this as its not a vote 'winner'. Raising the limit to 80 would make perfect sense or adopt the french method of higher limit in the dry and lower in the wet/inclement weather
  22. I'm north west based...anyone else oop north?
  23. Have a quick look on pistonheads jim, the 996 model is good value these days (from about 17k upwards) and will continue to drop now the 991 's coming out. Mind you, spare parts are a whole different kettle of fish and those costs do have a tendancy to come back and bite you on the you know what! This year i've done 3 trackdays and a european trip which was 3k miles+ and now my brakes sing like a welsh male voice choir....thats the first job on the list
