you still need a certain amount of ignition retard for saftey reasons.. tbh but not 12 % ! lol cheers mate, but unfortunatly somethings happened which means mapping has had to be put on pause and I have to remove the gearbox! Explain later when I finish work.. grrrrrrr, not a happy Ben!

Its not really a case of being unhappy with that output mate, its just it should be seeing at least 330 bhp on normal 95 octane fuel. grrrr

Afternoon all, Just got news that the car has only just reached 300bhp @ 1.4 bar :( :( :( Basically its pinking really badly top end so they have had to pull the ignition back 12% ! Elton reckons that as a ball point figure you loose 5-6bhp per 1% you pull back, so that's about 50-60bhp down on what it should be. Its the crappy cheap unleaded that I got from my local garage... :( Sooo.. I'm going down early Saturday morning with x2 five gallon Jerry cans full off the highest octane super unleaded I can find.. prob that Tesco's stuff ! And hopefully it might bring that figure up to about 340 bhp! Ben

Got my lupo wipers and blades of the stealer for £63 this week with a little discount :) Still expensive compared to what they used to go for, but better than the current retail price..

Yeah, I plan to make a custom strut brace but kinda need the scuttle panel out the way first because the main boost pipe doesn't let a normal off the shelf strut brace fit. I'll see.. B

cheers guys.. I've had word from Jabba that IT WILL be ready his saturday, obviously pending any pistons coming through the block .. I have a mate with a 2 mile 2nd WW runway going through his farm so I've booked up to some 'testing' on sat afternoon/sunday... so if all goes to plan I will have driven it and got some vids for you guys by the end of the weekend. Ohhhh can't wait!!! Hope it snows :D :lol: Bally, Doubt it will be at NR for a long while, cause I need to find a place for it to live down south first.. could take a while :( I'm sure I can take you all for a ride when its road legal. Not sure when that might be, def from June onwards but not sure prior to then.. Depends.. It will be at the Stealth RR day in April for sure and any other shows that I can make between now and then. But there is still a few things I want/need to do.. the engine bay is a complete mess.. any ideas on what can be done to tidy it up? Was thinking of removing the scuttle pannel, but not sure?? cheers Ben

guys guys guys.. chill.. he is building the boost up slowly.. once running on 1+ bar it will be 300bhp+ for sure...

I got a phone call from Jabba on friday to say apart from a couple of small issues it was on the rollers and had done 2 power runs.. first was about 225 bhp @ 5 PSI of boost, 2nd was 255bhp @ 8 PSI off boost... not bad. Should be ready this week, for collection on sat. Looking forward to it big style! B

You'd be wrong there to a degree.. If one uses the existing rallye rear subframe arm and wishbones, a few simple mods and the haldex can be hung. Obviously you need an electronic controller to tell the rear diff what to do.. i.e. 60/40 split etc.. but its perfectly possible to do.. watch this space :wink:

Mine has lost about a grand since I bought mine I must admit.. I suppose I'm lucky as mine is a PD the same as Jims (but it has leather).. does yours have heated seats, headlight washers, cruise control etc Jim? just out of interest?
