  1. No i'd much rather you gave it a good thrapping after all the hard work. Oh ok.. I'll do just that then!
  2. yeah I know, but until my insurance renewal I have little choice seeing I refuse to take out a second policy to drive it..
  3. Flipping stunning mate! Love this car.. I've got some new ideas for mine when phase 2 happens !! Keep the pics coming!
  4. I wouldn't want to lie about my insurance for the C as so much effort has been put into it and therefore so much can be lost. BUT, I'm not taking out a new policy on it until I know its ready and realible to drive daily! As that would be a waste of money. I just need to be able to insure it on the odd day here and there, I'm with elephant at the moment so i might just call them and see whats what! God insurance is a nightmare! My problem is that my insurance renewal is about May and I don't want to insure 2 cars. I might just swap the policy over to the C every once in a while, that will annoy Elephant! Anyway I think elephant don't insure for mods.. they insure for mods but if you crash your car they don't pay out for the mods.. i.e. no agreed value.. I'll find out anyway soon!
  5. Will trailer it home.. Its ready for an MOt though so I would be happy to drive it home but it aint tax'd, MOT'd or no insurance yet... (that keeps OSV happy ) Will hopefully get an MOT the following weekend... Then have that nice conversation with my insurance company.. Paul you might be a good person to ask this actually, I have about 4 months left on my current policy, whats the best way to go about insuring it... certainly for the first couple of months I will only want to use it the odd day here and there on weekends.. what you reckon?
  6. hehe.. actually it shouldn't take more than 2-4 hrs as its pretty much there, but its fitting me in as they are pretty booked up over the week. I hope to get it back next Sat tbh...
  7. http://www.coupehaus.co.uk/download_page.html might need to click refresh... ?? No the finished article is not going to be at No Rice this week, it will be at jabba's for the next 1-2 weeks.. Doubt it will ever make it to No Rice at least for 6 moths of so unless I can get a new job and move out of london as I couldn't bring myself to leaving it on the streets of crime happy London :(
  8. Guys.. see the download page on the http://www.coupehaus.co.uk website to download some vids of my visit today. x2 vids of the car and jabbasport itself, x2 vids of my ride in the Mk2 IHI 365bhp golf... oh yeah baby! Don't forget it was raining and it is FWD, not bad huh?! Ben
  9. Guys you wouldn't even begin to understand the size of the smile I had on my face when I dropped it off! After going in that IHI mk2 I was gobsmacked how quick it was! I have been waiting almost 4 years for this moment!!!! Rides will be dished out, no worries! I will make an effort to go to a few shows and meets this year!
  10. Dropped it off for mapping, next weekend it should be all done hopefully. Fingers crossed! Went for a ride in Elton @ Jabba's 365bhp FWD mk2, WOW.. I will post a link to some vids I took of it, seriously quick even in the rain! Anyway here is a pic of my dirty C when I dropped it off... B
  11. Updates are slowly happening.. Project pages should be up soon ish ! + Worthersee Show Guide will be up shortly also! Keeping checking the site http://www.coupehaus.co.uk cheers Ben
  12. You have got yourself a deal there matey! thats very good!
  13. ummm I think you have a chrome fetish my man! If I was doing all that chroming, a large chroming tank would be on my christmas list! But Jesus man, want an awe-inspiring car, I and I'm sure others would like to see some more pics of the car, have you got a few shots of the exterior and interior? Well done! I wish I had the patients to clean all of that, in this country with all the salt on the road your car would be mullered in seconds! I've only driven mine about 5 miles and I was under it last week removing a section of the propshaft and I was stunned by the amount of dirt already stuck to it! Anyway some more pics are needed and seriously top job! P.S. Lee yours is coming along nicely aswell! :D Ben
  14. Yeah, but I've added another 2k in there for the crap you end up buying cause thats how a project works!
  15. I know Andy, or did, very well. He did my floor pan conversion back in the day! Ask him about my corrado, he'll remember. A really nice guy and tbh prob one of the best people in the country to be tackling your engine conversion, he knows his stuff far more than about 99% of us on this forum!
  16. even if it is only been just above freezin about once since you got it working
  17. Dubsport quote 25k to do a twin VR6 engined car... according to an article I read recently.. and 15-17k for rear engined car... If you ask me I'm in the wrong job! Coming back down to earth I reckon it could be done for about 5-7k (depending on spec of engines) if you did it yourself.. at a guess!
  18. I did have 3 years NCB until I had my little knock on the way to GTI International last year, I was 23. I paid £600 fully comp for my mkiv GT tdi, I now pay £1256 because I have 0 NCB ! So I got a quote to insure the C fully comp, agreed value, everything declared last year for 1300-1500 odd quid, considering its 360bhp I didn't think that was too bad (considering!) - so shall we have a guess as to what it will be now without my NCB.... >???
  19. 1.8T and 20vt are the same thing mate!
  20. A 1.8T into a VR6 is a bit of a pain... I would fit a 24v V6 tbh. B
  21. Just thought I'd let everyone know that the plan is to take the car for mapping this weekend. I will leave it for a week and pick it up next weekend hopefully. So in theroy I should have a fully drivable and almost road legal corrado by next weekend! Its only taken 4 years! I will take a video camera along and get some footage on Sat. B
  22. Mate I feel for you... Let us know how you get on!
