  1. I bought one of those as well in Austria... they are well nice aren't they!
  2. lol, ok here is a sneak pic of the drivers door card, not finished but getting there. Off out to bleed the brakes, run the engine up to temp an hopefully take it for a quick spin...?
  3. Awesome, nice wheels.. :-)
  4. Page 1 at the bottom of the page or in 'parts for sale' section
  5. I've got my front bumper up for sale as I have a new one on its way. It comes with a modified bumper slam panel which allows air flow to the rad and or intercooler if you have one and you are welcome to the early indicators and fogs as well as part of the price. It has been painted in Porsche Iris Blue, see pics either on page one of this thread or in parts for sale section. It is an early spec bumper but I can provide modified bumper brackets to fit later cars, i.e spaced out 10mm each side to fit in line with larger wings. £100 ono. PM me if interested.
  6. He was standing in the road filming and an Ambulance with a trailor of wood or something went by him and the trailor ran over his foot and the wood or edge of the trailer cut his leg quite badly... He is fine now, a bit of a shock when it happened but we were beside the first aid tent so they got him back on his feet in no time. We have footage of it happening, http://www.dubland.o.uk Jay has yet to put his video up on the site as he is working night and day on his car but that shows what he was filmng as he was hit. He is working on his car loads at the moment to get it back on the road so be patient with regards to PM reply's. Ben
  7. he did, he was Jay walking...
  8. It's a sealed gel battery, can be mounted pretty much anywhere (upside down even!) and doesn't need to be 'vented' like a traditional acid battery. I already checked. I put my batt in the boot as well, no room in the engine bay!
  9. I'm using Porsche Boxster S Calipers on standard corrado hubs and carriers with Porsche 4x100 to 5x130 adapters which have been specially made for the offset of the wheels, thus they double as spacers. Didn't want the extra hassle of changing the hubs etc... Also if I want to change my wheels in the future I can go back to 4x100 ones or possibly 5x100...
  10. I'm sure he's not happy! I wouldn't be!!! I was in the slow lane and yes I pulled out into the fast lane to avoid a really horrible pile up in my lane. I’m not sure I was going 'too fast' as he was gaining on me in the outside lane as he was apparently racing his mates but thats another story... It was my fault 100% and I admit that, not a lot I can do now I'm afraid, accidents do happen and in this case it involved me. All it takes is one slip up, been fine for the last 6 years of my driving life. That’s why we have insurance and hopefully they will be able to put that young lads car back on the road as it was and fix mine as well. Thus I will be paying the price for the next 2-3 years as my insurance has gone up over 100% as discussed before... What can I say? .. :( Time to move on I think, I'll try and get some better quotes this week.. otherwise the car may have to go.. Ben
  11. 300 more pics posted on my site.. http://www.dubland.co.uk One of the cars of the show...
  12. Right quick update... on the mk4 not the C... Decided to go through the insurance as the cost was starting to get stupid with fixing both cars... to my horror I just return from london to my parents to find a renewal quote of... are you sitting down! £2057 for the tdi!!! 100% increase on last years (fully comp in London) so basically as you can imagine I can't afford that, so car will prob be up for sale once the new quarter panel and bumber have been fitted. Anyone want a lovely black 5 door mk 4 tdi, now back to standard apart from wheels, which I will polish. Fully spec'd out, leather the works, low milage.. 35k miles..!!!!!!!!!!! I almost cried when I saw that renewal form!!
  13. I have adapters for my Porsche splits and I have 360bhp??? Mind you the rear ones are steel.
  14. Chris's x2 vids are up on the site now! More pics coming over the weekend
  15. Once its on the road I'll take you out in it! The difference between James's FWD and Eltons 4WD cars is quite a lot! FWD has really bad torque steer! Eltons stays on the road and is just dead quick!!
  16. Those pics were taken by Guy H, wait till I get the others up there, prob more birds than cars! lol Yep we are going next year again, but this time we will go for much longer, 3 days wasn't enough and we may fly, but I kinda liked the road trip....
  17. Right boys and girls.. a few pics are on my site of our Worthersee trip, lots more to come and a couple of vids as well... Keep an eye out as I will post more pics soon. http://www.dubland.co.uk
  18. know someone who is doing this..
  19. make sure elton and James take you out in their cars! Eltons rallye pulls like a train and James FWD Golf is also very impressive, both running over 340bhp! Mine should make it up there before the end of the year!
  20. Yeah the C is safe and sound... I have been hit with yet more luck..not. Mk4 brakes are a nightmare.. official! I just put a new set of pads in my rear callipers and now the brake pedal has a really spongy feel. I have to pretty much put my foot to the ground before it will stop! Any ideas why this is happening? I took the cap off the brake reservoir before pushing the pistons back in but there is no way air could have been sucked in from there??? I don't understand it! Any ideas guys?? People have been suggesting that it has air in the system, but god knows how this has happened!??? arhhhh, I hate cars at the moment!
  21. I've been in that car and its 100% A1, will not find a better corrado in the world imho! Maybe apart from the VW museum! Consider a part ex for an unfinished 4x4 1.8T corrado? No seriously, if I had the cash I would be at the front of the que! Good luck with the sale Asim...
  22. I didn't see the UPS corrado at the show. There was a black one with the best trimmed interior I've ever seen... pics to follow!
