  1. the axle I think is ok, just need a new rear quarter - £270 from the stealers though! My bodyshop man said he would do me a deal, just need to see what happens with the kiddy tonight when he rings....
  2. cheers rolex, in all honesty I was the one who avoided a pile up in my lane by moving into his, so I think I'm at fault. He was probably going far to quick but he would have been fine if I hadn't of pulled out...
  3. I can't get 5th in mine... you got the brakes sorted then! Jay hasn't got his to work yet...
  4. Yeah I actually I fogot to mention  that I was a reasonable distance behind the car in front, but I got distracted by a car full of women coming up on the outside of us... school boy error! They turned out to be minging as well, just to rub it in a little more!  That will teach me a lesson! Hopefully I will be able to get this mess sorted ok, at least the car is still driverable! Just hope the kiddy in the mk2 doesn't take the p*ss when it comes to fixing his car!
  5. Sounds good Paul, a bit different to Guy Heartly's AMD'd R32, does it drive ok? Sorry didn't introduce myself when we bumped into you in Worthersee, I was the one standing next to Jay when you were walking up the hill... didn't know who you were, hope you enjoyed it? Ben
  6. Well to be honest I think it was my fault! Basically I was following a convoy of dubs coming upto a round'a'bout on the A12 and everyone was far to close to each other, I had 3 people in the car and a boot full of luggage from the worthersee trip and basically the cars in front broke very hard very quickly and I just couldn't brake in time, so my instincts told me to swerve to the right to avoid a massive pile up, which I did.. missing the car in front by inches but obviously pulling out into the other lane and a mk2 golf just clipped my rear drivers quarter panel. If I had gone left I would have landed up in a ditch and if I had stayed in my lane then I would have been involved in a nasty pile up.. so think what I did was the best outcome, if there is such a thing! Anyway the mk2 I think came off worse than me but I want to try and not claim on the insurance as I really need the NCB for the corrado! Will see what happens… the other car was some little kiddies pride and joy, a 1.6 mk2 golf, quite tidy, he had obviously spent all his money doing it up and I felt really guilty to be honest and sorry for the lad… what can I say, these things happen..
  7. Yeah its a very nice car, wish I had got the 130 bhp though as you get used to power quickly and want a little extra. I drive mine to hard to get good MPG, but got 54 MPG on the way back from inters today sitting at 60 in fifth/sixth.. Normally get 400-450 miles off a tank. I do like it though!
  8. I was only there for 3 hrs, got bored!
  9. Jim, Looks a bit like mine... nice!
  10. Just back from the best week ever in Worthersee, on my way to Inters this morning and this happens. Corrado project on hold..again!
  11. Hey all, Its been a seriously eventful week! A few of us undertook a 5 day mad road trip to Worthersee, Gumball style! 2000 miles there and back, 5 countries, rivers on roads, you name it we did it. One of cars in the convoy hit 167 mph with 3 people in it and loads of luggage on the German autobahn!!!!!! The show was out of this world! First class cars, first class beer and women to die for! I had the best time ever and will be doing it next year! Pics and vids to follow hopefully (Chris..Jay..Nick...Guy ya?) 8) Got a number of new ideas rolling around in my head after seeing some of the cars over there... watch this space  If someone had told me that the European VW's came with flared arches as standard I would have believed them! lol Only saw one corrado in the 3 days with normal standard arches... Air suspension and 2 toned paint is big out there... Caught Inters today but unfortunately I didn't really get to enjoy it too much as my recently purchased mk4 was hit on the rear quarter panel on route... 5h1t happens I suppose. Will post some pics in my gallery thread. But thought it was a better show than last year!
  12. Congrats mate! I know what that feelings like!
  13. good to hear that mate! Keep us updated! Oh and the reason you don't see Neils C around Guildford is that he seems to spend more time fixing it / cleaning it / looking at it than driving it! lol
  14. Not really, they do a similar design in split rim form. Mate I've got an ultra cool mod to show you that a slapped together this week, a first for dub tuning.. will send a piccy once I find a camera that works. 8)
  15. you didn't dumb arse! And what ya saying about my rado on RC's? Do you think it looks better then the god like porsche splits? no way!
  16. Oh well give it another few miles and see what its like!
  17. got a pic with the new number plate yet then L405 GAY
  18. Lee, nice brakes! Worth the wait! Whats the performance of them like?
  19. lots to do then? I have the following to do - Interior to finish off, including door cards, dash, center tunnel. Buy a passengers seat. Full re-trim. Rear wishbones. Modify the exhaust. Finish modding front + rear bumpers. Fit new fuel rail. Electics needs finishing. Few other bits and then get it mapped... Only expenses left are just the re-trim and mapping, + other bits + bobs..
  20. Tell me about it~! Was meant to be on the road last summer! BUT I will get it done for E38 this year as long as I have enough money to pay for the re-trim. Hows yours coming along Coxy? whats left to do?
