speaking of lights, when i rev my engine the lights go brighter. However, the connection on the back of the head lights are not the george as i have to keep pressing them back on. also when i use the electric windows the interior lights dim. :?

the second wire has to be connected in order for the horn to work. Not done anything different than what was there. The only thing that has changed is the connection from a brass to a metal?????

yes mate. There is crackling even when the stereo is off though and gets worst sometimes when i turn the wheel. There is one main wire coming through the wheel connected to the horn and then a second wire that in theory should be connected the wheel mount. I will check the earth, but where would the best place to check that??? cheers bud

Good to you all, Right i have a problem with my horn!!! I have got sparco wheel on at since i have had i have had a problem with the horn in that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I was looking at it yesturday and i worked out the problem. The previous owner had fitted the wire to the steering wheel itself between the wheel and the mounting. Now i have replaced this and the horn works proper bo, but it is now messing up my stereo as it keeps crackiling and stoping any sound from coming out. Can you help me and has anybody else had the problem?? Cheers guys :?

Good day ladies and gents I would like to know if you knowledgable people would be able to telll me if i can get a standard replacement K&N air filter for my 2.0 16v C. i know what you mean. Mine sounds terrible in position 1, like a high pitched worbble. Well annoying. Together with a noisy passenger window. Does anybody know how to fix this and why it might be doing this????? :?

how loud is the hiss?? you get a certain amount of noise on the power steering anyway. :?

Ay up people, since i purchased my c there seems to be quite alot of oil around the engine. i changed the oil filter and the oil recently and cleaned up, best i could, some of the oil. However, it has started to come back again. The question is, has anybody else had this problem? the c is a 2.0 16V. Cheers guys. It may be just a seal somewhere that needs replacing but i was just wondering if its a common problem or something to be concerned about. I will be getting it checked soon anyway, but any info from you the experts would be much appreciated. Top bombing, look forward to hearing from you. :wink:

Dels boy, Think hard mate!!!!. When i bought mine it had been lowered approx. 40mm all round. The springs were Eibach and the ride was far to hard, and having 17" wheels on, the steering was very stiff. I have recently put the standard springs back on and it still looks well and handles fine. Granted it looks better slightly lowered, but the ride was not as good, especially on Stoke-on-Trents shitty roads. Furthermore, the guy that did mine didn't set the tracking up properly, meaning that i have had to pay out for Opti-flex and new traking rods, cos the penis didn't do it right. If i was you think carefully. Just going off my experienceand if you do decide to do it, do it properly. I would if i had the money. :cry:

i have to say guys that this is amazing!! i was not expecting that much information but i can't thank you enough. So its film that runs over the bulbs, i thought that it was a bulbs that i would have to change. spot on :D

Can anybody help me???? i would like to change the colour of my dashboard illumination from green to blue. How do i do it and where would i get the correct bulbs from?? cheers guys :roll:

you have probably done it by now, but i had the same problem with mine when i purchased my C just under a year ago. I was advised to use an Auto Glym 'leather cleaner. Strange i know but all you have to do is add a couple of cap fulls in a bucket of warm water and scrub the roof with a cloth, and then wipe off the excess with a second dry cloth. If you hoover the roof first it makes all the difference. have ago - well pleased with mine :D

I have not so much been thinking of changing the dials cos i would like to keep the original dials, but what i would like to do is changethe backlight to blue rather than green, as the green is looking a bit dated (if you know what i mean) but i have never done this before, and i was wondering if anybody knew how to do it. Any help would be much appreciated Borat :(

I am no expert with engines but this was happening with mine (2.0, 16V) and it came down to a shagged drive belt. Once changed it has been fine. Have you checked the coolant recently?? just a thought :D

Ay up people, If have just had a rear wheel bearing replaced on my C and the noise is like what most of you have described a kind of 'wheering' noise if you like. It was worse at low speeds, you could realy hear it, but did get slightly better, not much, with increased speeds. In addition, i have been told that the wish bone bush has worn out and that has given a little bit of squeeking sound so that could be it. I wil let you know if the squeeking stops when it has been done 8) :shock:
