for sale Nugget Yellow G60 for £1000 in southampton
sharpy-vr6 posted a topic in Cars for Sale [Corrado]
G60 | Nugget Yellow | southampton Price: £1000 Description: Hi i am posting this car up on behalf of my mate he brought this corrado for the engine about a month ago however has decided not to go ahead with his plans, The car is in need of alot of tlc and is a project hes trying to sell as a whole first as it would be nice to have rare g60 back on the road and a nugget at that, so he would rather not break. to list the good and bad Good: - Engine runs and pulls lovely and smooth i belive the charger was fairly recently rebuilt stage 3 at jabba. - The car has been lowered on springs (possibly koni at the rear) i belive its 60 or 80mm dropped its definatly a little lower then mine - Comes with some nice wolfrace alloys that i think suit the car - The car was recently re-sprayed but it needs to be mopped down - Has a straight through de-cat exhuast, im unaware of the make but some parts are supersprint i believe Bad: - The cars interior is all in bits and apart and a fair few bits are missing (im not sure what parts but if your interested i can find out) - The car is missing the ignition barrel and door handles/ locks (was previously stolen however the car has been H.P.I checked by my mate and is all okay) there is alot of work to be done on this car however would be a lovely project and would be great at the end. the car may be worth it litrally for the lovely g60 engine. but i would rather like someone to take the time to get this car back on the road. also my mate has a few vr6 engine parts available including a full bottem end of the block with ancilleries and a polished inlet manifold (obd2) any questions just pm me and ill try my best to answer them :) Thank you -
I have never found myself any good at writting angry letters, so i would like your opinions on my message to the ebay seller who sold me these top mounts. for once i think i have made a good little argument :) opinions please
-
The mount is in correctly the other side has seated okay and works fine. They went on the same way as my old ones came off sorry to hear that, the seller was "euroautomotive10" I guess im lucky i spotted it before it got any worse.
-
The bonnet is okay the suspension hasnt come through that far yet luckily. I was just thinking for longer life?? And the bonus of a bit of extra rigidity? Im lucky my suspension hasn't come through the bonnet and i hope this helps other people from being less lucky :/ Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2

The seller was "euroautomotive10" i think the top mount kit was fairly cheap but i was in a hurry and there was not alot of options on my ebay search. So a little bit ny fault but still not impressed. Thanks for the advice ill have a look into those bonrath ones :)

Its awful i am furious about it the seller will be recieving a strongly wordered email Is it best to go to the stealers then? And will they take the extra stress from being on coilovers?
-
Hi i recently fitted some weitec coilys, and changed my top mounts. The company i usually use didnt have the top mounts in stock so i brought some off ebay. This is the result after just a week on the car :banghead: As you can guess im not happy and will be sending an angry email to the seller  In the meantime i would like to know what top mounts everyone has im after some top quality mounts preferably poly mounts if you can get them just for peice of mind. Thanks

I would be fairly interested in the late front wings aswell abd possibly bonnet. I think this could easily be a group buy for wings if your guy is willing to discount on bulk purchases??. -
Hmmmm interesting i can see a quick money making scheme here

Hi i have fore sale a set of brand new Dare Dr-B alloys. they are staggered so i have 2 - 16X8" with E.t: 25 2 - 16x9" with E.t: 30 centre bores on all wheels are 73.1 but i have 57.1 adaptors provided. the p.c.d is multi drilled but i was going to use them for 5x100 basically i brought these wheels to go onto my vr however they wont fit due to my coilovers now, im fair sure with slight strech and small spacers these will fit onto a vr6 however i was not willing to fit them like that. im looking for around £320 ono without postage, around southampton area. i may be willing to post at buyers expense but i would preffer local collection thank you

As titled i could do with some spacers after installing some coilovers if anybody has some laying around they dont want i could do with a set Thanks
-
just as a quick pointer though you will need spacers for the rear :/ as i have just found, luckily i havent done much driving just a mile or 2 to test, but i just removed the wheel to raise the coilovers and they have been rubbing at the back luckily no major damage but its started to rub away at the nut (looked okay when i fitted and even when i look up from underneath atm they are not touching so must be while driving along. oh well i will have to wait for some spacers :brickwall:

Just to update you i have fitted my weitecs now and i am very impressed. the ride quality is very good in comparison to so many cars i have been in that have been lowered. (however i have never been in a kw lowered corrado) also the coilovers had a quality look and feel other then they seems fairly plastic but so are the kw's and they are clearly built to last. but the threads are decent and thick. at the moment my springs are set just over half way down and tbh i cant see how you could get any lower unless you lived and drove around on top of a fresh bowl of angel delight. this is why im going to be raising the car up soon when i have to time but i have to say the main reason i bought was for a good ride and handling and i can safely say these will fit the bill :). i hope that helps if you have any questions im sure i can help out

Okay its been ages since i have posted here so i thought i would add some quick updates. Firstly a big thanks to Hombre_paulo who i purchased my new fuel tank from :). the sigh of relief i had when i found i could source a fuel tank nearby. Secondly the reason it has been a while since i last posted is due to the fact i have been saving up (and blancing funds between a new mountain bike after some theiving gits stole mine :bad-words: ). anyway all the saving has done alright and i recently purchased a set of coilovers :D i know everyone highly reccomends the kw's but in the end i decided to go for the weitecs as they have had similar reviews and i thought i would save myself a few bob. at the moment the car is sitting stupidly low and i need to raise it a little during this week when i have the time :/, but for the moment i dont really have a bad word to say about the weitecs. im really impressed the ride quality is pretty much the same as the standard (obvcourse as excpected a little harsher and tiny bit more bouncy) but handling is improved no end although i feel i would like some anti roll bars soon :awesome: . anyway enough of me babling on heres how my baby looks at the moment (excuse the car being dirty ) The lovely parcel i ahd been waiting for :) During the process after only installing the fronts :| very low indeed  oops  Luckily with the rears attached its all looking a bit better but i think i need to raise 10mm maybe more. I apologies on the photography but all comments and opinions are welcome :D

Well if you need to get rid of it you may aswell, its better stripped but youll get a couple of pennys for it. Better then just chucking it i suppose

This is so annoying i really cant make my mind up i could step in as a group buy i have just acquired a block that i shall be rebuilding probably for turbo applications? 263's a good choice for this?? Why can't this group buy happen later in the year :s

If only it was always that easy :) Glad to hear its all worked out

Problem with car parts is that a magnet sticks to them. And anything that a magnet sticks to aint really worth the journey. I have heard cats have somr rare metals inside that are worth a littld bit in scrap but i wouldn't get your hopes up you need a lot to get the money in. Copper, lead and brass is where the money is :) oh joys of being a plumber :D Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2

Agreed i hope he gets whats coming. It really annoys me with all these hit and runs, my mate had his golf smashed into outside my house not long ago and the culprit drove off no witnesses no details, no way of getting any justice :( Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2

Well hopefully ill be able to report back very soon as while we have been on here look what has just arrived through my door

Tbh it was the slight saving and the fact that it was only the v1 basics. sounds wierd but ive heard great reviews on botha nd obviously everyone rates the kw's but they are both the same company and from what i can work out everyone rates the kw on weather resistance, and the basics dont come with the extra weather protection so i couldnt see a real difference between them and the weitecs in reviews i have seen. but i suppose i will find out the real pros and cons when i have mine fitted, i will let you know what i think :)
